One day, at the urging of my friends, I abandoned my weekend plans for bubble tea and my unfinished Korean dramas on Netflix to embark on an adventure to the Mekong Delta. Surprisingly, I couldn't believe that a region just three hours' drive from Ho Chi Minh City, where I live, could be so strange and mysterious. The Mekong Delta is not only home to vast orchards, endless rice paddies, and rivers heavy with red silt, but also holds so many other fascinating things. Visiting Tra Vinh, you'll find a small city overflowing with greenery, a land rich in cultural identity, and the center of Southern Khmer culture.
