On December 20th, the People's Committee of Krông Pắc district decided to declare areas affected by African swine fever, areas threatened by the disease, and buffer zones within the district. Accordingly, the affected areas include the communes of Ea Hiu, Hòa An, Vụ Bổn, Hòa Tiến, Ea Phê, Ea Yông, Tân Tiến, and Phước An town; the areas threatened by the disease include the remaining communes in the district.
The People's Committee of Krông Pắc District requests that, during the outbreak, all activities involving the buying, selling, and transportation of livestock susceptible to African swine fever and their products into and out of the affected area be temporarily suspended. The District Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, in coordination with the Livestock and Veterinary Station and People's Committees at all levels, will focus all resources on controlling the outbreak and urgently implement measures to prevent and control African swine fever in the district in accordance with the Veterinary Law and directives from higher authorities. Simultaneously, they will proactively secure supplies of chemicals and materials to support disease control efforts in the district.
The District Livestock and Veterinary Station advised on the development of a plan to establish checkpoints on main roads entering and exiting the affected area to control the buying, selling, circulation, and transportation of livestock and livestock products into and out of the affected area; developed a plan to organize and implement a comprehensive sanitation and disinfection campaign throughout the district; and mobilized local veterinary forces to participate in epidemic control.

The People's Committees of communes and towns with African swine fever outbreaks shall immediately establish a Steering Committee for the prevention and control of African swine fever in their respective areas and assign specific tasks to each member of the Steering Committee; mobilize all forces to organize and implement disease control measures in accordance with State regulations to quickly control and prevent the disease from spreading widely; establish a Destruction Council to organize the destruction of pigs infected with African swine fever in accordance with regulations…
For localities that have not yet experienced African swine fever outbreaks (threatened areas): proactively develop local plans for preventing and controlling African swine fever; strengthen disease prevention measures and closely monitor the situation to promptly address outbreaks if they occur.
The district police, in coordination with the District Livestock and Veterinary Station and the People's Committees of communes and towns, are strengthening inspections and controls on the transportation of livestock into and out of the district; deploying forces to participate in checkpoints with specialized agencies on main roads leading into and out of the affected area to control the buying, selling, circulation, and transportation of livestock and livestock products into and out of the affected area…
