Nghia Hanh District organizes the "Rural Cuisine Festival"

The program, organized by the Department of Culture, Science and Information of Nghia Hanh district in coordination with Binh Thanh Community Agriculture , Service and Tourism Cooperative, took place from 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM on April 30th - May 1st, 2025.

The "Countryside Cuisine" festival features a newly harvested rice field as its main "stage," decorated in a simple, rustic, and elegant style. The diverse and abundant food area offers over 30 dishes made from local produce and fruits. The highlight of the festival program is the folk games, traditional cake-making experiences, visits to fruit orchards, and demonstrations of mulberry cultivation and silkworm farming, promising visitors, especially children, engaging and enriching activities.

The students enjoyed the experience of making Vietnamese savory pancakes (banh xeo) at Binh Thanh Community Tourism Village.

At the "Countryside Cuisine Festival," visitors can enjoy authentic, traditional dishes prepared by the locals in Binh Thanh community tourism village, such as: banh xeo (Vietnamese savory pancake), jackfruit salad, pomelo salad, corn fritters, grilled snakehead fish, banh chung (Vietnamese sticky rice cake), banh tet (Vietnamese cylindrical sticky rice cake), banh it (Vietnamese glutinous rice cake), banh bot loc (Vietnamese tapioca cake), various grilled dishes, banh beo (Vietnamese steamed rice cake), and corn fritters... Visitors can also enjoy a variety of local specialty fruits such as pomelo, dwarf banana, Cavendish banana, royal banana, and star apple, along with unique cultural performances and traditional folk theater.

According to Doan Phu Viet Nam, Director of the Binh Thanh Community Agricultural, Service and Tourism Cooperative, the "Rural Cuisine Festival" involves approximately 20 households in Binh Thanh village. This is the fourth year that the Binh Thanh Community Agricultural, Service and Tourism Cooperative has organized rural cuisine festivals. Over the past three years, the festival has attracted nearly 10,000 visitors annually. This has helped promote local community tourism, attract tourists, and contribute to improving the income of local people.
