Regularly traveling on provincial road DT.606 from Tr'Hy to Lăng commune and vice versa, Mr. Bhling Mưr - Head of Abanh village, Tr'hy commune, reported that the construction progress is still very slow. The number of workers, machinery, and equipment at the construction site is very small. Many sections are unfinished, with numerous potholes and uneven surfaces, posing a potential traffic safety hazard.
"Traveling is most difficult on rainy days. The road surface in areas under construction is uneven and covered with loose rocks and soil, causing many inexperienced drivers to fall off their motorbikes," Mr. Mur said.

According to Mr. Cơlâu Rinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Tr'hy commune, the local government and people were very excited when they heard about the plan to repair the DT.606 road section from Lăng commune to Tr'hy commune. However, the slow construction progress has significantly affected the people's travel, production, and goods transportation. The local government has repeatedly petitioned higher authorities, and local voters have raised this issue during meetings with National Assembly representatives.
“The local authorities hope the investor will urge the contractor to quickly accelerate the progress. First and foremost, measures need to be taken to ensure traffic safety, especially during the rainy season, as this road is frequently affected by landslides,” Mr. Rinh suggested.
Provincial Road 606 is the only transportation route leading to four mountainous communes in Tay Giang district, serving approximately 2,063 households and over 7,000 people. To ensure the smooth travel of residents along this route, the Provincial People's Committee has allocated 60 billion VND to repair the 28km section from Lang commune to Tr'Hy commune.

To expedite the repair process, the Tay Giang District Party Committee has sent a document to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee requesting guidance to the investor and construction unit to accelerate the construction progress, ensuring quality, maximizing the effectiveness of capital, and handing over the project for use as soon as possible.
Recently, the Director of the Quang Nam Department of Transport, Van Anh Tuan, instructed the contractor to increase manpower and equipment to accelerate the construction progress of the DT.606 route, ensuring the smooth travel of the people. He also requested relevant departments to strengthen inspection and take action if the contractor continues to experience sluggish construction and delays.
