According to PhoneArena , Twitter user Andreu stated: "Why is my Apple ID asking me to enter my password randomly? I don't think that's normal." Another Twitter user complained about the same thing happening to them. Meanwhile, a Reddit user named TomatoBill reported receiving the same notification within 10 minutes on two devices using the same Apple ID.
A reporter from Thanh Niên newspaper also witnessed this request on an iOS device while using the Facebook Messenger app on April 16th.
The problem is happening strangely to many iPhone users.
Online comments indicate that users are receiving a random notification on their phones asking them to log in and then change their password. This has caused concern among many. User NebulousLotus wrote on Reddit: "I was absolutely terrified when it happened to me. I updated my phone and checked if it was the problem and it seems to continue." Meanwhile, another user said that after entering their password, a message appeared saying "Unable to connect to server," which was quite strange.
Some users reported that after receiving a random password prompt, they restarted their phones and the prompt never returned.
In general, if you're constantly receiving login requests with your Apple ID password, you can try turning your iPhone off and on again, or simply ignoring the login request. Another suggestion is to try changing your Apple ID password if you're genuinely concerned.
