On September 20th, Apple's retail and distribution chains in Vietnam officially began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series.
Previously, on September 9th, Apple officially launched the iPhone 16 series with several upgrades in specifications, camera, and some other AI features.
According to Apple's announcement, Australia and New Zealand are the first two markets to launch the device, on September 20th.

Meanwhile, according to authorized Apple retailers and distributors in Vietnam, the "official" iPhone 16 series will go on sale in the early morning of September 27th, which is about a week later than in Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of the CellphoneS chain of stores, said: This year, the Vietnamese market launched its products early, less than a week after the Tier 1 markets (major markets) launched, creating a clear competitive advantage over imported goods in terms of warranty quality and quantity.
According to Mr. Huy, on September 20th, CellphoneS chain stores officially began accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 16 series.
"Right on the first morning of pre-orders, we noticed that customer interest in the iPhone 16 exceeded expectations, with the number of registrations for information on the first day increasing fivefold compared to last year," Mr. Huy said.
Notably, within 15 minutes of allowing pre-orders, the chain received deposits from over 2,500 customers.
In particular, the gold iPhone 16 Pro Max with 256GB storage is sold out, while other versions are still available for pre-order, with delivery scheduled for September 27th. It is expected that the retailer will receive 6,000-7,000 pre-orders on the first day.
With these positive results, Mr. Huy aims for a sales growth of over 50% for the new product line in the first quarter.
For customers signing up for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus information, the 128GB storage option still accounts for the largest share in this segment, indicating that mainstream customers prioritize lower prices when purchasing. However, interest in the 256GB version has increased by 20%.
Among customers who signed up to receive information about the iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max, the majority (over 75%) chose the 256GB version, indicating that this group of customers tends to choose powerful configurations to meet their high-end work and entertainment needs.
