Not long ago, The Information revealed that Apple may have decided to discontinue production of the first-generation iPhone Air after recording disappointing sales.
Nevertheless, Apple is still expected to release successors to these two models. The iPhone 17e is projected to launch in spring 2026. Meanwhile, the iPhone Air 2 may be delayed further.
In contrast to the failures of the iPhone 16e and iPhone Air, sales of the iPhone 17 series continue to grow strongly. Production orders for the iPhone 17 are steadily increasing.
The iPhone 17 product line was warmly received by the market, recording record-high pre-orders. This helped the company achieve strong growth in Japan, China, Western Europe, and several regions in the Asia- Pacific .
According to a report from market research firm Counterpoint Research, Apple ranks second with 18% of the global market share, a 9% increase year-on-year. Apple also recorded the highest growth among the top 5 smartphone brands in the market.
