Black Friday is typically the biggest discount period of the year, and the used tech market also sees significant price reductions on many like-new iPhone models.
At a tech store in An Khanh ward (Ho Chi Minh City), staff said that the supply of used iPhones is quite abundant, with the iPhone 15 Pro Max LikeNew being the best-selling model. The price was adjusted down to only 22.59 million VND during Black Friday week, suitable for customers who need a large screen and powerful performance but want to save money.
The price of a like-new iPhone 16 Pro Max has also dropped to 25.99 million VND, making it an attractive option for those who want to experience the new generation of iPhones at a significantly lower price than a brand-new, genuine product.
In addition, older iPhone 14 Pro Max and iPhone 15 Pro models maintain stable sales after price reductions to 16.59 – 19.39 million VND. Among previous generation flagships, the iPhone 12 Pro is currently priced from 8.99 million VND, considered the most accessible option.
The iPhone 15 is a popular choice for many buyers.
In the budget segment, used iPhone 11 and iPhone 12 models have dropped to around 5-7 million VND, attracting students and those experiencing the iOS operating system for the first time.
In particular, the iPhone Air, despite being newly launched, received a negative market response, forcing retailers to reduce its price by over 1 million VND, to 30.8 million VND for the 256GB version. Similarly, the iPhone 16e was less popular due to not meeting user preferences, resulting in a significant price drop of 4.5 million VND; the 128GB version is now just over 12 million VND, and the 256GB version is 15 million VND.
A representative from Di Dong Viet stated that Black Friday is always the time of year when used phone prices drop the most. With competitive prices coupled with good after-sales policies such as a 7-day trial, a 1-to-1 exchange warranty within 33 days, and flexible return and exchange support, the demand for used phones increases sharply.
Mr. Nguyen Lac Huy, representative of the CellphoneS system, said that older iPhone models still have great appeal because their prices are suitable for many customer groups. Discount programs during Black Friday helped boost sales significantly compared to previous weeks.
Not only iPhones, but other like-new devices also have competitive prices. Used Samsung Galaxy S24s are being offered from 8.39 million VND, while like-new Apple Watch Series 10s have dropped to 6.59 million VND.
