Since opening its first store in Japan in 2001, JINS has expanded into many international markets such as China (2010), the US and Taiwan (2015), the Philippines and Hong Kong (2018). Earlier this year, JINS opened its flagship store in Los Angeles, the US, marking the beginning of a more aggressive global expansion strategy. As of the end of May 2025, JINS operates 789 stores in 6 regions and is expected to expand to Mongolia in August 2025.
The establishment of a subsidiary in Vietnam last year and the upcoming opening of a store in Saigon Centre in November 2025 confirms JINS’ commitment to this potential market. The pop-up store is not only an opportunity for Vietnamese customers to directly experience the JINS brand vision and identity, but also an important first step in building trust and deep connections with local consumers.
Experience authentic JINS from the very first day at the Pop-up Store
The pop-up store was thoughtfully designed by architects Fumiko Takahama and Tomohiko Komatsu, who have created many iconic JINS stores around the world, including the JINS headquarters in Tokyo. The space showcases key product lines, internationally acclaimed designs, and made-in-Japan products, demonstrating JINS’ commitment to quality and innovation.
The products are arranged on independent shelves according to each design line, creating the feeling of works of art in a gallery, honoring the unique beauty of each frame. The wooden shelves create a sophisticated, cozy atmosphere, while also reminding of traditional Japanese identity.
What is special is that although the Pop-up space does not directly sell products, JINS still recreates important service areas such as lens processing, frame adjustment and vision measurement support like a regular JINS store. This allows customers to not only directly observe the process and professionalism of the staff but also experience the JINS standard service quality on the spot. This is also an ideal environment for Vietnamese staff to hone their skills in a realistic simulation space.
The Pop-up Store also offers unique interactive experiences with an area introducing the JINS brand, a creative photo booth, and especially the "JINS BRAIN" system - advanced AI technology that helps evaluate the suitability of glasses for the user's face, providing personalized advice to visitors.
