K+ begins to notify refunds to prepaid users.

On December 3, Saigontourist Cable Television Company (SCTV) announced that it would stop providing the K+ channel package on its infrastructure. "According to the announcement from VSTV, the operator of K+ in Vietnam, VSTV has decided to completely stop providing the K+ package from January 1, 2026," SCTV said.

On the K+ side, this station has not yet officially announced the time of stopping operations with end users. However, according to Tri Thuc - Znews , many sales agents of this unit have received notice from partners about the schedule of signal cutting and subscription processing after December 31.

Specifically, from January 1, 2026, when the 5 K+ channels are terminated, platform users, owners of receivers and decoders can still watch VTV and local programs via satellite. In addition, customers who buy long-term packages (6 months - 1 year), pay to watch through December 31, will be refunded by the station. The procedure will be implemented from December 8, end before December 31 and start paying in January 2026.

Specifically, K+ will send a message to the subscriber via the phone number registered on the system, running text with a confirmation code on TV channels and notification on the app. Users need to access the link, fill in the information and wait for the above unit to process.

Currently, K+'s refund website is not yet operational. According to the notice sent to agents, the announcement and processing will start from December 8. In addition, the payment level for users with remaining terms is not shared.

According to the announcement from SCTV, users of this package on the system will be provided with 5 K+ channels until December 31. After that time, the signal will end, including on Saigontourist Cable TV and other platforms. Regarding the copyright of the Premier League, the copyright holder will soon notify users in the near future.

Established in 2009, K+ made a big splash when it appeared in Vietnam, providing pay TV services, along with copyrights of top football tournaments. However, this unit was slow to transform during the period of Internet and OTT app distribution format development. The problem of illegal football and copyright infringement habits from users also greatly affected this unit.

Since July, information about K+ Television's imminent withdrawal from Vietnam has spread on social media, attracting a large amount of public discussion. The source of the news comes from Canal+, the station's major shareholder, considering withdrawing from the Vietnamese market because the losses "have become significant" and "there is no feasible solution", according to DecodeTV.

"We may decide to drastically restructure our operations here, or even consider withdrawing completely," said Canal+ CEO Maxime Saada.

After that, the station said that they still sell and renew “normally”, and continue to broadcast the tournaments that this company holds the copyright. After this statement, the K+ package on many OTT applications and cable TV is no longer distributed. To watch the copyrighted Premier League, viewers are forced to buy K+.

With the uncertain future of K+, users of this unit and sports- interested audiences are worried about the copyrighted English Premier League football channel.

According to many sources,FPT Play will be the unit taking over the copyright contract of the Premier League in Vietnam, from K+. On paper, the most attractive football tournament on the planet is still held by VSTV until the end of the 2028 season.
