Opening Ceremony of the "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2025" Program

Kinhtedothi - On the evening of March 4th, at the Hai Ba Trung Temple, the Hanoi Department of Tourism inaugurated the program "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2025 - Get on Hanoi 2025". Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen attended and presented the Decision recognizing the Hai Ba Trung Temple, Pagoda, and Shrine complex as a special national tourist destination.

During the event (March 4-6), Hanoi's tourism industry and Hai Ba Trung district implemented many activities such as organizing exhibition spaces to introduce cultural and historical tourism products, cuisine , and traditional Hanoi craft products, and organizing a traditional festival commemorating the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Director of the Hanoi Department of Tourism, Dang Huong Giang, said that in 2024, Hanoi had implemented a series of unique tourism activities and events with its own brand, thereby attracting domestic and international tourists and creating momentum to stimulate the tourism market. At the same time, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has supported districts, counties, and businesses in building and developing many new and attractive tourism products.

"Through organizing the 'Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2025' program, the capital's tourism industry is communicating and promoting the image of Hanoi as a 'Safe - Friendly - Quality - Attractive' destination to attract tourists to Hanoi," Ms. Giang emphasized.

It is known that the "Hanoi Tourism Welcomes 2025 - Get on Hanoi 2025" program is the starting activity in a series of over 60 events, festivals, and tourism promotion programs for 2025. Specifically, these include the announcement ceremony of Kim Lan Pottery Craft - National Intangible Cultural Heritage, the announcement of Kim Lan Tourist Destination (Gia Lam); the Thầy Pagoda Festival, the Culture and Tourism Week and trade promotion (Quoc Oai); the Dong Anh Carnival Festival "Welcoming the New Era, Embracing Integration"; the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025; the Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival 2025; the Hanoi Autumn Festival; the Culinary and Traditional Craft Village Tourism Festival; the Hanoi Ao Dai Festival 2025, etc.

The fact that Hanoi's tourism industry will organize 60 events in 2025 will contribute to promoting the image of the capital city to domestic and international tourists. This will help achieve the goal of welcoming 31 million tourists in 2025, an increase of 11.2% compared to 2024, including 7.5 million international tourists; total revenue from tourism is expected to reach approximately 130 trillion VND, an increase of 17.5% compared to 2024.
