Attending the opening ceremony were the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Le Van Dung; the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Nguyen Thi Thu Lan; the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, Huynh Thi Thuy Dung; the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Cong Thanh; leaders of provincial departments and agencies; Tam Ky City; and a large number of local people and tourists.

In his opening remarks, the Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tam Ky City, Nguyen Minh Nam, emphasized that in order to continue introducing and promoting the value, resources, and tourism products of Tam Ky to tourists near and far, contributing to promoting and attracting investment, and creating momentum for socio -economic and cultural development, Tam Ky City is organizing the Tam Ky Sea Festival 2024 with the theme "Tam Ky - Come and Explore".

According to Mr. Nam, with the goal of building and developing a tourist destination in Quang Nam, in recent years, the Party Committee, government, and people of the city have been determined and striving to build Tam Ky into a city rich in identity associated with the development of cultural, historical, ecological, and experiential tourism on the foundation of natural landscapes, cultural values, and community, making it an attractive and hospitable destination.

"Coming to Tam Ky means coming to the beloved homeland of the Monument to the Heroic Vietnamese Mother - a sacred and great symbol of the Vietnamese nation; coming to the Ky Anh Tunnel National Historical Site - a legend in the hearts of the people of Quang Nam; coming to Bai Say - Song Dam with its harmonious natural beauty and rare diverse ecosystem; coming to Tam Thanh Mural Village, Vietnam's first mural village, vibrant with colors. Especially, there is the Tam Thanh beach area with its blue sea, white sand, golden sunshine, and embraced by the poetic, verdant Truong Giang River," Mr. Nam said.

The Tam Ky Sea Festival 2024 aims to honor, develop, and spread the unique local cultural resources of the Tam Ky region to friends and tourists from near and far; contributing to realizing the aspiration of building Tam Ky into a driving force for development in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

At the opening night, a welcoming art program took place with spectacular performances reflecting the daily life and cultural characteristics of fishermen in the coastal region, celebrating the young city of Tam Ky, with the participation of artists and actors from all over the country.

The Tam Ky Sea Festival 2024 will take place from June 14th to June 30th with more than 10 exciting and attractive activities, such as an art program with the theme "Tam Thanh - Clear Blue Sea - Cool River"; a Carnival and a grand sea music festival; traditional folk singing performances; promotion of Tam Thanh cuisine and fish sauce; a sea marathon; swimming competitions; and traditional basket boat races on the sea...
