The memorandum of understanding signed between CT Group (Vietnam) and an emerging drone technology company in South Korea for an order of 5,000 transport UAVs is the culmination of many years of effort by CT Group.
From 2016-2017, CT Group had a strategy to develop the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) industry and began researching UAVs. By 2020, the group had partnered with the largest agricultural UAV manufacturer in Vietnam and established Dr One. Dr One faced numerous challenges, as choosing to enter research and development (R&D) was very costly and risky. The economic crisis, along with the impact of Covid-19, caused Dr One to "disappear".

Undeterred, the research team pursued research and development. Their partner this time was a leading Vietnamese company in the field of military and industrial UAV development. CT Group had repeatedly funded this joint venture to aggressively penetrate the Middle Eastern market throughout 2022 and 2023, leading to the establishment of CT AirUAV. However, CT AirUAV again failed to achieve the expected results.
It was precisely during this most challenging time that the corporation made a decisive decision, drawing on its experience in mastering UAV technology and ensuring that research and development kept pace with market changes. From there, the corporation rebranded itself as CT UAV, making significant strides in 2024 and 2025, establishing itself as one of the fastest-growing R&D units, creating a superior competitive advantage and aspiring to export Vietnamese UAVs worldwide .
The aforementioned memorandum of cooperation, signed on August 12, 2025, in Seoul, South Korea, also opens up opportunities for CT Group to export UAV equipment to many other countries around the world… if this memorandum of cooperation comes to fruition.
