Visitors to the Po Sah Inu Tower can explore the historical site and enjoy Cham folk art performances such as dances, songs, and traditional instrument solos. The provincial museum also plans to organize a "One Day Cham Culture Experience" program so that visitors can learn more about Cham culture in the southeastern part of Lam Dong province. Previously, to create a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, numerous youth union members from Phu Thuy ward launched several campaigns to plant trees and flowers along the coastal area to harmonize the natural landscape with the unique historical and cultural relics here. “Young people in Phu Thuy ward have planted thousands of purple crape myrtle trees on the hillsides along both sides of the road leading to Ong Hoang Palace and Po Sah Inu Tower. In a few years, the hills will be covered in fragrant purple blossoms, providing plenty of opportunities for domestic and international tourists to take photos before visiting the historical and cultural site and attending the Katê festival of the Cham ethnic group, usually held at the foot of Po Sah Inu Tower around October every year,” shared Comrade Phan Nguyen Hoang Tan, Secretary of the Phu Thuy Ward Party Committee. Meanwhile, according to the Management Board of Po Sah Inu Tower, this summer, the site welcomes 900-1200 domestic and international visitors daily. From the beginning of the year until now, the site has welcomed nearly 75,000 visitors, demonstrating the attractiveness of this historical and cultural site, a highlight of tourism in Phu Thuy.
With its extensive coastal areas within the Phu Thuy ward, part of the Mui Ne National Tourist Area approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1772 QD/TTg dated December 18, 2018, the Phu Thuy coastal area is considered a significant advantage for local tourism development in the overall regional development plan. Currently, the Phu Thuy coastal area has attracted 30 tourism projects that are already underway, creating jobs for many young local workers. Located along the DT 706B tourist route, next to a complete commercial and service complex, a 48-hectare plot of land is being prepared for auction by the province to attract investors to build a commercial and service area, creating a modern urban landscape along this tourist route.
The potential and advantages of its coastal location are considered key highlights of Phu Thuy in the coming years. The Phu Thuy Ward Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term has set the following orientation: The economic structure will shift towards gradually increasing the proportion of trade, services, tourism, and processing industries. In particular, coastal tourism will be developed within the overall development of the Mui Ne National Tourist Area; focusing on green, sustainable tourism, diversifying tourism products (services, resort tourism, health care; sightseeing, experiencing, exploring traditional craft villages, local cuisine, etc.) to create unique and distinctive tourism highlights. Preserving the historical and cultural relics of Lau Ong Hoang, Po Sah Inu Tower, preserving fishing villages and traditional craft villages, and protecting the coastal ecological environment will be prioritized to stimulate tourism. At the same time, Phu Thuy will invite large enterprises to invest in land development, tourism, trade, and services. Leveraging provincial resources, the province is investing in synchronized transportation connections with Phan Thiet Airport to attract tourists. The locality encourages residents and businesses to invest in equipment for catching high-value seafood, not only for processing seafood for export but also for serving tourism-related cuisine. Phu Thuy is also building an e-commerce infrastructure system and enhancing OCOP (One Commune One Product) products to serve a large number of tourists visiting and shopping for souvenirs during their trips to the coastal region of Lam Dong.
Focus on the economic advantages of coastal areas.
At the recent Phu Thuy Ward Party Congress, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee - advised Phu Thuy to base its key targets on its potential and advantages, effectively utilize local resources, especially its coastal economic advantages, to accelerate breakthroughs and contribute to the overall growth of the province. In the immediate future, to create a green, clean, and beautiful landscape, Phu Thuy Ward is launching campaigns to plant more trees, such as drought-resistant purple crape myrtle, to green the Ba Nai hill area where the Po Sah Inu tower is located, creating a highlight for domestic and international tourists before this unique scenic spot. The ward is mobilizing the vanguard force of youth union members, residents, and functional units in campaigns to plant suitable ornamental trees and flowers along major roads, parks, and internal roads in residential areas within the ward, linking this with environmental protection along the coast and river branches flowing through the area, creating urban green spaces. To develop Phu Thuy into a green, civilized, and modern place.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the ward focus on developing a modern urban economy, linking it with attracting investment in trade and services, tourism, and processing industries; urban beautification; and rational urban development, harmoniously connecting with neighboring wards. The ward should coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to implement infrastructure projects in the area, support the development of the private economy according to Resolution 68 of the Politburo; support innovative startups; and apply science and technology to production and business. The locality should focus on improving the efficiency of the ward's Public Administrative Service Center in conjunction with digital transformation, promoting the application of information technology to serve citizens and businesses, in achieving the economic targets for the next five years. Currently, Phu Thuy has 6,210 businesses and business households.
Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh suggested that the Phu Thuy Ward Party Committee should uphold the fine traditions of its experienced Party members, totaling 2,342; strengthen Party building and the construction of a clean and strong political system. The Party Committee should build a team of cadres and Party members with firm political resolve, good moral character, and competence, prioritizing the interests of the people above all else, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that the Ward Party Committee lead and direct the effective implementation of military and national defense tasks, maintain political security and social order; proactively grasp the situation, and promptly and effectively resolve emerging issues at the grassroots level.
