Located approximately 30 km from the center of Quang Ngai city, Ba Lang An Cape stands out as a unique destination, combining both geological value and a magnificent, unspoiled natural landscape.

The name Ba Lang An is derived from three ancient coastal villages in the area: An Hai, An Vinh, and An Ky. These communities have long been closely connected to the sea, carrying within them a tradition of pioneering the Ly Son island region that spans hundreds of years.

Not only does it attract tourists with its pristine natural beauty, Ba Lang An Cape also holds special significance as the closest mainland location to the Hoang Sa archipelago. This strategic position has profoundly marked its role in establishing and protecting the sacred maritime sovereignty of the Fatherland.

The imprint of volcanoes and time.

Ba Lang An Cape bears the unique imprint of geological history, formed from volcanic lava eruptions millions of years ago. When the molten lava flowed into the sea, it immediately solidified under the influence of cold water. Through millennia of weathering and erosion, the basalt rock here gradually transformed into fantastical shapes, making this place a masterpiece of nature.

The most striking feature of Ba Lang An Cape is its volcanic crater right at the edge of the sea, a rare phenomenon that creates a spectacular scene. When the tide rises, the water rushes in and out rhythmically, creating sounds and movements like the deep "breath" from the earth's core. When the water recedes, the crater is revealed as a giant natural basin, becoming an ideal habitat for many small marine creatures.

Upon arriving at Mui Ba Lang An, visitors will immediately feel a sense of pristine nature, where the breath of the sea blends with the gentle sound of waves and the cool breeze blowing from the open ocean. Lush green hills stretch like a soft natural carpet, enveloping the landscape and creating an endless sense of peace. Interspersed among the refreshing green hues are the solemn landscapes of dark volcanic rock formations, silently recounting the story of centuries of geological formation and transformation etched by time.

With its pristine beauty and timeless scientific value, Ba Lang An Cape not only fascinates tourists but is also a valuable treasure for geological and environmental research.

The captivating, unspoiled beauty

Ba Lang An Cape possesses a natural, rustic beauty that is strangely captivating. Dark basalt rock formations jut out into the sea, creating unique, rugged coastline features. The curved cliffs, along with narrow crevices and small caves, are sculpted by the relentless erosion of ocean waves over thousands of years.

From this vantage point, visitors can gaze into the distance and easily admire Ly Son Island, with its majestic volcanoes rising from the azure ocean. This geological similarity has led to Ba Lang An Cape being likened to a "miniature Ly Son." As the sun sets, the golden light bathes the water and cliffs, creating a vibrant and spectacular scene rarely seen elsewhere.

A must-see highlight when visiting Ba Lang An is the lighthouse located on the furthest protruding headland, standing over 36 meters tall. Built during the French colonial period, this structure has been a guiding light for countless ships entering and leaving Sa Ky port for decades.

From the top of the lighthouse, you can admire the entire vast ocean with its endless stretches of volcanic rock. It's also a fantastic spot to capture the magical moments of sunrise or sunset.
