Those screened were people who had contact with people with pulmonary tuberculosis in 2023, 2024 and the first 6 months of 2025; high-risk groups in the community such as: Cough (dry cough, cough with phlegm, coughing up blood), fever lasting more than 2 weeks without a clear cause, night sweats, chest pain, sometimes difficulty breathing; people with disorders, immunodeficiency; people with chronic diseases; malnourished children...
People participating in the program will be examined, educated about tuberculosis prevention, consulted, and have chest X-rays. Through examination, people with suspected signs of tuberculosis will be assigned specialized tests to accurately determine the disease. Along with tuberculosis, this time, people will also be screened for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma.

After Bac Ninh Hoa commune, in August, the program will continue to conduct screening for people in the communes and wards of Dong Ninh Hoa, Tay Ninh Hoa, Tan Dinh, Nam Ninh Hoa, Ninh Hoa with a total of 3,500 people. The goal of the program is to increase the detection and early diagnosis of tuberculosis and latent tuberculosis for people in contact with tuberculosis patients and those with high-risk factors; promptly collect and treat tuberculosis, cutting off the source of tuberculosis transmission in the community. At the same time, increase the rate of people accessing examination and detection services for tuberculosis and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma; 100% of detected patients are collected, managed and treated.
