On May 31, 5, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in collaboration with the Thang Long Center for Education Accreditation held the Ceremony to announce the Decision and award the Certificate of Quality Accreditation for 2023 university-level training programs, including: Journalism, Public Relations, Management Science, Hotel Administration, Vietnamese Office Administration, Religious Studies and Vietnamese Studies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung - Director of Thang Long Education Accreditation Center highly appreciated the serious spirit, "real work, real quality, not afraid of change" of the school's Board of Directors and lecturers, staff, students and students during the implementation of the accreditation program. The school regularly accesses different sets of domestic and international standards in order to complete training programs, move towards autonomy in training activities, high-quality training majors, international joint programs... Compared to the current rate of 17 - 18% of training programs in the country being tested at present, it can be seen that the outstanding efforts of the teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in teaching and research activities, VNU.
The issuance of the Certificate of Quality Accreditation for 07 university-level training programs is an important milestone showing the development of the University, requiring the school to improve more and more training programs to meet the expectations of the society. Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Phung also believes that with a sustainable development strategy, with a mission to take the lead in training high-quality and high-qualified human resources; Researching, creating and spreading knowledge on social sciences and humanities, serving the cause of national construction and defense and international integration, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will achieve the strategic goal by 2025 to put the university in the group of 150 leading universities in Asia, by 2035 in the group of 100 leading universities in the continent and on a par with the advanced universities in the world.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that, with a deep awareness of the importance of quality assurance and accreditation, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was the first institution within the Vietnam National University, Hanoi, to build an Education Quality Assurance Center since 2006, and is also one of the pioneers in quality assurance and self-assessment outside the system. with CTUs. Up to now, there have been 18/31 undergraduate programs of the university that have been accredited according to domestic and international standards.

According to Assoc.Prof.Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, 07 training programs received the Certificate of Quality Accreditation representing two important groups of the school's majors. The first group is the highly applicable training majors, serving the society's demand for high-quality human resources, attracting a large number of learners, such as Journalism, Public Relations, Management Science, Hotel Management, and Office Administration. The second group is the basic sciences that play an important role in the cause of national construction, development and defense, such as Religious Studies and Vietnamese Studies.
A special feature is that among these training programs, there are many disciplines showing the leading and pioneering role of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the field of training. The Faculty of Vietnam and Vietnamese Language Studies has been the country's most traditional unit in training Vietnamese language and Vietnamese culture for more than half a century, and is now the only unit in Vietnam that has built two training programs for two separate audiences, Vietnamese and foreigners. The Department of Religious Studies is also the first and only program (as of 02) to train a full-time bachelor's degree in Religious Studies.
The insightful and relevant advice and instructions of the external assessment team have helped the school improve its internal quality assurance system to serve teaching and learning activities. With 100% of the members of the external evaluation team passing, 07 training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU have met the accreditation standards according to the Standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Previously, accreditation activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HN have been implemented since December 12 and passed through rigorous and rigorous evaluation steps according to the Regulation on standards for quality assessment of university-level training programs of Circular No. 2022/04/TT-BGDDT.
