The Ministry of Transport has just issued a Decision promulgating the Plan for organizing the inauguration ceremony of the North-South East Expressway construction project, phase 2017-2020, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet sections, on May 19th.
After planning, the Ministry of Transport reported to the Prime Minister to seek approval for the inauguration ceremony. According to the plan, the inauguration ceremony will take place on the morning of May 19, 2023, at two locations along the North-South expressway.
The completion of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway will help connect and facilitate the development of Khanh Hoa province.
Specifically, the first bridgehead, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam section, will be located at KM 33+800 in Cam Hiep Nam commune, Cam Lam district, Khanh Hoa province. This is the first component project under the public-private partnership (PPP) model of the North-South Expressway Eastern section, phase 2017-2020, to be completed. The construction time for the main route has been shortened by 3 months compared to the original plan.
The project spans over 49km, with 4 lanes and a roadbed width of 17m. The total investment is over 5,500 billion VND.
Workers are completing the embankment along the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway.
The second bridgehead, the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet section, is located at KM1604+700 (intersection with National Highway 1) in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. The Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project has a total length of 100.8km, passing through Binh Thuan province.
In the phased development, the project is being invested in with a scale of 4 lanes, a roadbed width of 17m, and sections with deep excavation and embankment have a scale of 4 lanes and a roadbed width of 32.25m. The total investment for the project is over 10,800 billion VND from the State budget.
