Toll collection will begin at the two new interchanges on the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway from June 1st.

TPO - From 8:00 AM on June 1st, the Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC) put into operation the Phu Thu and Liem Son interchanges on the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway, applying a new service fee schedule with 100% closed toll collection and electronic non-stop toll collection.

According to VEC, the two interchanges at Phu Thu (section from Km224+060 to Km229+200) and Liem Son (section from Km239+800 to Km242+900) are important infrastructure projects, directly connecting to the Cau Gie - Ninh Binh expressway.

When traveling through this area, vehicles must strictly adhere to the road markings, traffic lights, road signs, and the regulations of the authorities and the route management unit. VEC stated that it will apply a closed toll collection system, meaning that the fee will be calculated based on the actual distance traveled by the vehicle, combined with 100% electronic toll collection (ETC) at all toll lanes.

Based on the approved service price list (including the current 8% value-added tax), the fees are specifically regulated for each vehicle group and travel route.

For the most basic vehicle categories, including vehicles with fewer than 12 seats, trucks under 2 tons, and public buses, the service fee ranges from 6,949 VND for the short Phu Thu - Liem Tuyen route, 12,778 VND for the Vuc Vong - Phu Thu route, 24,526 VND for the Phu Thu - Liem Son route, and the highest rate of 55,328 VND for the Phu Thu - Cao Bo route. For the Dai Xuyen - Liem Son and Liem Tuyen - Liem Son routes, these vehicle groups will have to pay 51,720 VND and 17,577 VND respectively.

The fee will increase progressively according to the vehicle's load capacity and seating capacity. For example, on the Phu Thu - Cao Bo route, vehicles with 12 to 30 seats and trucks weighing 2 to under 4 tons will be charged 82,991 VND; vehicles with 31 seats or more will be charged 110,655 VND.

Specifically, for heavy vehicles such as trucks weighing 18 tons or more and container trucks 40 feet or longer, the lowest freight rate is 27,797 VND for the Phu Thu - Liem Tuyen route, 149,216 VND for the Vuc Vong - Liem Son route, and reaches 221,311 VND for the longer Phu Thu - Cao Bo route.

A VEC representative also noted that the current price list is applying a policy of reducing the value-added tax to 8%. In the event that the tax reduction policy by the competent authority ends, the service fees across the entire system will automatically be adjusted to the price list including 10% VAT.

All vehicles passing through the intersection must pay the full toll, except for certain cases exempted by Decree No. 130/2024/ND-CP issued by the Government on October 10, 2024, and related replacement and supplementary regulations.
