Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hoang, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Tien Phong Agricultural Cooperative (Yen Trach commune), is a typical example of a young person in the self-reliance and entrepreneurship movement in the locality.
With a daring and proactive spirit, Nguyen Quoc Hoang has developed a model for cultivating medicinal plants and producing herbal tea, generating revenue of over 2 billion VND per year. This model not only provides stable employment for 8 local youth union members with social insurance coverage but also creates jobs for nearly 10 other workers through collaborative production.
With the dynamism and creativity of youth, Nguyen Quoc Hoang has transformed the Tien Phong Agricultural Cooperative into a model example of local economic development. These efforts have been recognized with numerous awards, including the 19th Luong Dinh Cua Award in 2024, the title of Outstanding Youth of the Nation in 2025, and many commendations and titles from the Central Youth Union, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Farmers' Association at all levels.

From lush green tea hills to digitally- driven production and business models, more and more young people are choosing to establish themselves and build their careers with willpower, aspirations, and youthful energy. To further motivate young people, since the beginning of 2025, the Standing Committee of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union has implemented a comprehensive range of solutions to support youth entrepreneurship and career development linked to innovation.
The entire province organized 5 training courses to equip over 2,000 youth union members with knowledge; a job fair and career counseling event attracting over 5,000 participants; and 3 workshops and forums on innovative entrepreneurship with over 3,000 youth union members attending.
In addition, the Youth Union at all levels has intensified its efforts to promote, connect, and support young people in accessing the startup and digital transformation ecosystem. Many practical activities have been organized, such as the Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Festival, dialogue programs between young people and provincial leaders, career counseling, and job placement services, attracting a large number of Youth Union members and students.
Ms. Pham Thi Van, Secretary of the Youth Union branch in Hoa Tien 2 hamlet (Duc Luong commune), said that she had been involved with tea cultivation through picking, processing, and selling tea. Therefore, when she had access to new tea production models based on linkages and the establishment of cooperatives and production groups, Ms. Van gradually brought local tea products to a wider market through social media and digital platforms.
Through successful startup models, the youth of Thai Nguyen are gradually spreading the spirit of daring to think and act, contributing to economic development and building a more prosperous and beautiful homeland. In particular, in 2025, Thai Nguyen will have 5 outstanding young people recognized nationally for their contributions to youth economic development, self-reliance, and entrepreneurship.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union, in recent times, the Youth Union has always considered accompanying young people in economic development as an important task to awaken the aspirations of young people to strive for success.
Leveraging the supportive role of the Youth Union, activities to assist young people in economic development, entrepreneurship, and career establishment have been implemented increasingly effectively. Youth Union branches at all levels have supported over 850 startup projects with a total capital of nearly 750 billion VND; connected more than 100 businesses, creating over 40,000 job opportunities; and helped more than 30,000 young people find stable employment.
These figures not only demonstrate the effectiveness of support programs but also reflect the proactive spirit and strong aspirations of today's youth. From rural areas to urban centers, more and more young people are choosing to start businesses using the advantages of their hometowns, bringing science, technology, and new thinking into production and business.
