According to Xinhua News Agency, on the morning of October 16, two trains equipped with refrigeration systems carrying fruits and vegetables left Yunnan Province in southwestern China for Laos and Vietnam, respectively.

The event marks the launch of cold storage cargo transportation services on the routes from China to Laos and from China to Vietnam.
The first two trains, departing from Yanhe Station in Yuxi City in Yunnan Province, are expected to arrive in Laos' capital Vientiane and Vietnam's Lao Cai Province in about a day.
According to the current schedule, there will be one daily refrigerated cargo train from Kunming city in Yunnan province to Vientiane and one weekly train from Kunming to Lao Cai.
The operator of the above service - Kunming Railway Group (China) said that the operating frequency on these two routes will be adjusted according to customer needs in the future.
