Implementing that idea, in 2017, Mr. Trung returned to the locality and started making simple products, such as bowls, chopsticks, spoons, cutting boards from longan wood, cloth, tamarind available in the family's garden. When he first started operating, the workshop was small, lack of capital to invest in machines and equipment, and the products he made were mainly based on orders from his relatives and some people in the commune.
Thanks to the focus on improving quality and constantly researching, learning and creating products that are suitable for consumers' tastes, in a short time, Mr. Trung's production facility has attracted many customers. in and out of the commune to come and buy.
In 2020, he invested 500 million VND to expand the workshop, buy more modern machines and raw materials to serve production needs. At the same time, cooperate with 7 members who are wood processing and production workshops to establish ON Family Furniture Cooperative. Talking about the cooperative's products, Mr. Trung shared: The cooperative's wooden products have characteristics that do not cause odors and do not affect the taste of food when cooking, containing food and drinks, so that More and more people buy the products of the cooperative. Not only serving people in the area, but now, the cooperative has signed contracts to sell products in a number of large supermarkets in the province, Hanoi and some southern provinces; restaurants, eateries, souvenir shops, wooden furniture…
In addition, the production facility of On Family Furniture Cooperative also creates jobs for 8-12 young laborers who are disadvantaged in the locality, with an average salary of about 3-4 million VND/month. In 2022, the wooden cup product of On Family Furniture Cooperative was evaluated by the Son La Provincial People's Committee as meeting the 4-star OCOP product standard. The revenue and profit of the establishment is constantly increasing, after deducting all expenses, the profit is over 120 million VND/year.
