The military parade marking the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War took place on May 9 at Red Square, Moscow. Images of soldiers representing the Vietnam People's Army participating in the parade created a strong effect on social networks. Many people expressed their pride when witnessing the Vietnamese contingent marching confidently on Red Square.

The block consisted of 68 soldiers, marching in an 8-8 formation, groups of 3 carrying the flag. Leading the way was the block leader - soldier Pham Khac Giang.

Sharing with VietNamNet, soldier Pham Khac Giang confided that after completing his parade mission in the Russian Federation and returning home, he and his teammates felt a bit sad when remembering the time they spent training in the White Birch country.

He emphasized that the fact that soldiers of Army Officer School 1 were selected to represent the Vietnam People's Army to participate in the parade was an honor and pride for the school's officers, soldiers and students.

"We take this as motivation to continue working, studying, and training in the coming time, to successfully complete the tasks entrusted to us by the Party, State, Army, and people," said soldier Pham Khac Giang.

Along with the parade, the moment when Russian President Vladimir Putin approached to shake hands and encourage representatives of the parade delegations of various countries, including soldier Pham Khac Giang, also left a deep impression.

Just a normal greeting, but anyone who follows can feel the strong, dignified demeanor and spirit of the Vietnam People's Army soldiers.

Talking about the moment he was shaken by President Putin, the bloc leader Pham Khac Giang said, "After completing the task of representing the bloc and being encouraged by the President, I was very proud. This is not only an honor for me but also an honor for my comrades and teammates in the entire bloc as well as my comrades and teammates in my homeland and the Vietnamese people."

Soldier Giang said that when they first arrived in Russia, the group encountered some difficulties such as jet lag and cold weather, but thanks to the preparation of the training plan and the dedicated guidance of the teachers in the group, the members were able to catch up and complete the parade on May 9.

He is also especially grateful for the welcome and affection of overseas Vietnamese in Russia, "In Russia we receive a lot of attention from our compatriots, the members always appreciate those feelings. I would like to send my thanks to the Vietnamese community in Russia, comrades, teammates and people of the whole country", said soldier Pham Khac Giang.

Soldier Pham Khac Giang, born in 2000, from Thuan Thanh ( Bac Ninh ) - is the leader of the block, commander of the parade team of the Vietnam People's Army. Currently, he is working at the Army Officer School 1.

Besides his proper demeanor when performing his duties, the male soldier is very friendly and approachable in everyday life. On his personal social networking site, he often shares his daily life.

Lieutenant Colonel Ho Sy Quang (Head of the Department of Troop Command, Army Officer School 1) shared that after completing the mission in Moscow, he and his soldiers felt very happy and warm when they arrived at Noi Bai airport and were warmly welcomed by the school and the people. The spirit and health of all members of the delegation were good.

Initial assessment of the parade mission on Red Square on May 9, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Sy Quang said that the quality of the group's performance was basically good, highly appreciated by the neighboring country, and was one of the groups that performed well at the parade.

"The 4-hour time difference, cold weather, and heavy snowfall on some days also affected our health. The training ground in the field was also different from that in Vietnam, but the whole team overcame everything, united and determined to overcome it," said Lieutenant Colonel Ho Sy Quang.

Lieutenant Colonel Quang also said that the delegation was very surprised to receive the welcome, care and support of overseas Vietnamese, "they supported us with Vietnamese food so that we could maintain the best physical and mental condition".

Russia's invitation to Vietnam to send troops to participate in the parade at Red Square on May 9 shows respect and appreciation for Vietnam's role, and is also vivid evidence of the traditional friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, especially in the fields of defense and military technical cooperation.

68 soldiers from the Army Officer School 1 represented the Vietnam People's Army in the parade. The soldiers were aged 19-30 and 1.8m or taller. These were officers, lecturers, and students with well-proportioned bodies, performing command movements quickly, strongly, and accurately.
