On the afternoon of May 22nd, the University of Finance and Marketing, in collaboration with the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation (Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City), held a ceremony to announce the decision and award certificates of quality standards issued by the Minister of Education and Training.

Speaking at the certificate awarding ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Director of the Center for Educational Quality Accreditation, said that during the external evaluation process, the evaluation team had directly exchanged information and worked with all units of the school and more than 200 relevant individuals. As a result, the school has achieved the quality standards for educational institutions at the basic level for cycle 2 (2018-2022) according to the new set of standards issued by the Minister of Education and Training, with 25 standards and 111 criteria. Many of these standards and criteria are new and much more challenging than the previous set of standards.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Pham Tien Dat, the school's principal, said that to achieve these accomplishments, the school has gradually affirmed its prestige and brand through the quality of its training, by training critical thinking skills alongside practical professional skills, linking training with the realities of businesses and the human resource needs of society.

"To uphold the principle of 'quality at all costs,' the school has implemented a policy of prioritizing the recruitment of faculty and staff with master's degrees from overseas universities and doctoral degrees. In addition, we are gradually investing in modern facilities; innovating training programs and lecture content to combine theory with practical updates from businesses; and building a friendly and creative learning environment...", Associate Professor Dr. Tien Dat stated.

Sharing more about future directions, the Rector of the University of Finance and Marketing stated that according to the development strategy for the period 2021-2030 and the vision to 2045, by the end of 2026, the university will become an application-oriented university, maintaining national standards at the institutional and program levels, with at least four programs meeting the quality standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA). By the end of 2030, the university will achieve the status of a prestigious university in the ASEAN region.

The University of Finance and Marketing is a public university under the Ministry of Finance . Currently, the university has 13 faculties, 3 training institutes with 15 undergraduate programs and over 30 specializations; 3 master's degree programs and 2 doctoral degree programs. Each year, the university enrolls approximately 4,500 full-time undergraduate students, 400 postgraduate students, and about 20 doctoral candidates. Over the past 47 years, the university has provided society with over 50,000 bachelor's graduates and over 2,500 master's graduates.
