(NLĐO) - Officials of the Association for the Promotion of Learning must understand the circumstances of each student, ensuring that no student is forced to drop out of school due to financial difficulties.

On April 29th, the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning in Ho Chi Minh City held its first General Assembly of Delegates for the 2026-2031 term.

The congress unanimously elected the Executive Committee of the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning for the term 2026-2031, consisting of 25 members.

The Executive Committee of the Dien Hong Ward Education Promotion Association also held its first meeting, electing a Standing Committee with 5 members. Among them, Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Thanh was elected as the President of the Association.

The Executive Committee of the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning for the term 2026-2031 has been introduced.

Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Promotion of Learning, assessed that the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning inherited the tradition from the Associations for the Promotion of Learning in Wards 6, 8, and 14 of District 10 in the past. These were all strong units with many good methods in mobilizing resources, especially the piggy bank savings model to help disadvantaged students excel in their studies.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Association for the Promotion of Learning, suggested that the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning should strengthen emulation activities and the lifelong learning movement.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Anh, in the new term, officials of the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning must innovate in their thinking and methods of operation. They must continue to do a good job of advising the Party Committee, the government, and the Fatherland Front; and strengthen coordination with departments, organizations, and the ward's political system to build a learning society.

In addition, the Dien Hong Ward Education Promotion Association needs to continue paying attention to and creating conditions for disadvantaged students to continue their education through scholarships. It should also promote emulation activities and the lifelong learning movement.

According to Nguyen Truong Son, Chairman of the Dien Hong Ward People's Committee, from 1975 until the implementation of the two-tiered local government system, District 10 (formerly) always prioritized investment in education, both in terms of professional development and extracurricular activities. This tradition has been upheld by Dien Hong Ward since its establishment to the present day.

Besides acknowledging the efforts made in the past, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son also expressed his hope that the Dien Hong Ward Association for the Promotion of Learning would deepen and strengthen its work in promoting learning and talent. This includes focusing on building core learning models, with a focus on establishing "Learning Families," "Learning Clans," and especially the "Learning Citizen" model.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Hong Ward demanded that no student be forced to drop out of school due to financial difficulties.

Promote the application of information technology in the work of promoting learning and talent development. Actively guide members and the public to access digital platforms, build a reading culture in cyberspace, utilize technology to share knowledge, and focus on effectively implementing the "Digital Popular Education" movement.
