Assoc. Prof-Dr. Tran Cao Binh, Director of the Hanoi Central Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, said that the two Government documents removed 2%-90% of the concerns of this facility. 7.000 medical equipment backlogs
According to the Ministry of Health, one of the problems at this time is that about 7.000 medical equipment licensing applications are backlog, many of which have been submitted for a third of a year and have not been considered.
Mr. Nguyen Tu Hieu, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Equipment and Construction (Ministry of Health), said that according to the provisions of Decree 98/2021 of the Government on the management of medical equipment, the Ministry of Health has organized the appraisal of the dossier and issued the circulation number. However, due to the large number of records, there have been a number of cases in the past time that have led to apprehension in reading and appraising the records of independent experts.
In addition, human resources directly in charge of managing and processing dossiers at the Ministry of Health are very lacking. Meanwhile, the units applying for the certificate of circulation registration can amend and supplement their dossiers 5 times since the date of the request of the Ministry of Health to amend and supplement. According to statistics, more than 90% of applications for issuance of circulation numbers must be amended or supplemented. “The Department of Medical Equipment and Construction is committed to solving these 7.000 backlogs by December 31, 12,” said Mr. Hieu.
