The "Earth Hour" campaign is an event held in March every year with the call to "Turn off unnecessary electrical appliances for an hour". On this occasion, the electricity industry in general and PC TTH in particular called on all people and customers to respond and widely propagate the message "Save electricity - Become a habit", thereby, contributing to saving energy and preserving resources for future generations.
Over the years, power saving propaganda activities have been regularly deployed by PC TTH and received wide response, thereby spreading the habit, raising awareness of economical use of electricity and bringing far-reaching benefits in the community.
According to statistics, in 2022, the province's electricity saving output is estimated at 39.496.687 kWh, equivalent to about 73 billion VND, of which the proportion of electricity saving in daily life is the highest with more than 61%, industrial production is 28,5%, administrative and non-business sector 6,7%, business and service 2,2%...
“In 2023, right after entering the hot season, PC TTH proactively sent emails to customers with instructions on electricity use, power saving manuals in homes, offices, factories…; urge people to limit electricity use during peak hours; mobilize each officer and employee in the unit, in addition to participating in response, is also a propagandist at home and in the locality... Thereby, contributing to changing public awareness on environmental protection, energy saving, response to climate change, contributing to preserving the country's natural resources, "said Mr. Nguyen Than - Deputy Director of PC TTH.
After the launching ceremony, the delegates rode bicycles on the streets to spread the meaning of the program and called on people to continue to join hands in saving electricity, responding to the "Earth Hour" campaign in 2023.
