In the context of a challenging economic environment, our province has proactively implemented many flexible and innovative solutions in economic development in general and trade promotion in particular. Specifically, during this year-end period, relevant agencies, localities, and businesses in the province have organized numerous product promotion and sales campaigns. This is considered a crucial period for boosting consumer spending and making a significant contribution to the year's economic growth targets.
With numerous promotions and discounts, Aloha Lam Thao supermarket has created momentum to attract customers and stimulate consumer demand.
Diverse promotional programs
Anticipating the "consumer surge" in the final months of the year, supermarkets, shopping malls, retail businesses, and convenience stores in the province have implemented various consumer stimulus programs such as deep discounts, gift giveaways, and lucky draws.
Specializing in electrical appliances, Dien May Xanh supermarket - located at 1606 A Hung Vuong Street, Viet Tri City - has consistently improved its business methods to provide the best shopping experience for customers. Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Nhung, Manager of Dien May Xanh supermarket, said: “Currently, the supermarket applies a “deferred payment” method to help customers reduce their financial burden. This method offers consumers interest rates up to 0%, meaning customers don't need to pay upfront or only need to pay a very small amount upfront; the remaining amount is divided into smaller installments and paid gradually over several months. With this method, Dien May Xanh customers also don't have to pay any hidden costs such as conversion fees or other incidental fees. The approval rate is very high, with over 80% of applications approved for deferred payment. Through this method, we hope to share the burden with consumers who are facing financial difficulties and need to tighten their spending, allowing them to shop more comfortably and easily with Dien May Xanh.”
Furthermore, Dien May Xanh continuously implements promotional programs with various forms of incentives such as direct price reductions on products, gift giveaways, etc., including: TVs and water purifiers have weekend "golden hour" deals with shocking prices; TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines are discounted up to 39%; on December 21-22, the supermarket has a year-end "shocking price" event; 100% of TVs, refrigerators, and washing machines come with gifts such as frying pans, cleaning sets, or multi-functional kettles; cold-weather products such as dryers, heaters, dehumidifiers, and clothes dryers all have promotional gifts and discounts; water purifiers, double electric stoves, air purifiers, dehumidifiers, rice cookers, and fryers have promotions, discounts, and deferred payment programs...
A quick survey of other major supermarkets such as Aloha, Coopmart, Go!, WinMart... reveals that they are all implementing various promotional programs to stimulate demand, including direct discounts on products, gifts, buy-one-get-one-free offers, etc., focusing on items with high consumer demand during the year-end period, from food, confectionery, and beverages to cosmetics and personal care products.
Specifically, GO! Viet Tri supermarket is one of the reliable sources of consumer goods for people in the province in general and Viet Tri city in particular. As a leading retailer, GO! Viet Tri supermarket always strives to ensure a sufficient and diverse supply of goods, meeting the consumer needs of the people at the most stable prices. In particular, the supermarket has been implementing promotional programs with deep discounts ranging from 20-49%.
Furthermore, to facilitate convenient shopping for consumers without worrying about prices, the supermarket has worked closely with all suppliers to stock up on goods since the beginning of October 2024 to provide the best service to all its customers. Essential goods have been stockpiled in quantities increased by 10-25% compared to the same period last year to ensure they meet consumer demand.
Dien May Xanh organizes many advertising campaigns for promotional programs.
Meanwhile, at the Aloha supermarket chain in the province, many items are currently discounted by 10-50%, especially fresh and dried foods, milk, and dairy products. From now until the end of the year, the Aloha supermarket chain will continue to implement policies to stimulate domestic consumption, as well as trade promotion and advertising activities, contributing to maintaining production and business growth and increasing consumer purchasing power. In addition, the stores have planned to increase their Tet holiday inventory by about 15-20% compared to last year to meet market demand.
Ensuring sustainable growth targets.
In the final months of the year, trade promotion activities and consumer stimulus programs are vibrant, with many business networking events organized and consumer stimulus programs actively implemented by businesses.
As a result, trade and service revenue in the province has been quite good. In the first 11 months of 2024, the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue are estimated at 52,556.6 billion VND, an increase of 13.9% compared to the same period.
Of that total, retail sales accounted for 82.7%, an increase of 14.1%; accommodation and food services accounted for 10.3%, an increase of 13.5%; travel and other services accounted for 7%, an increase of 11.9%;...

GO! Viet Tri supermarket prepares a wide variety of goods with many attractive promotional programs, actively contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.
Forecasts indicate a significant increase in consumer purchasing power between now and the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025. To facilitate businesses in stimulating consumer demand, the Department of Industry and Trade is strengthening its review process and creating favorable conditions for businesses and supermarkets to implement appropriate promotional programs; coordinating with relevant agencies to monitor and understand the supply and demand situation and prices of various goods in order to stabilize the market; and coordinating with functional units to resolutely handle cases of smuggling and commercial fraud.
In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade is guiding businesses to develop plans for stockpiling goods during the Tet holiday, ensuring abundant supplies and avoiding supply chain disruptions during the implementation of consumer stimulus programs. Particularly, in December, the Department also launched the "National Concentrated Promotion Program 2024 - Vietnam Grand Sale 2024" throughout the province. Accordingly, all businesses in the province have the right to participate by proactively carrying out various attractive promotional activities aimed at customers; and to independently decide on the promotional limits to apply.
According to Mr. Dang Viet Phuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade: Promotional activities combined with the organization of fairs, exhibitions, product displays, and traditional festivals in the locality promote Vietnamese products and regional culture and attract tourism . Through these activities, consumers can purchase quality goods and services at reasonable prices; stimulate domestic consumption, boost production and business activities, contributing to economic recovery and development; and simultaneously raise awareness among domestic consumers about Vietnamese goods and services through media communication.
With these solutions, the market at the end of this year will create confidence for consumers in the province to increase spending, thereby stimulating the retail market, supporting businesses to effectively exploit the domestic market, recover production and business, and at the same time contribute to the effective implementation of the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign.
