BAC NINH - Continuously organizing successful large-scale cultural events, leaving a strong impression, Bac Ninh is increasingly affirming its position as a center for the convergence and dissemination of Vietnamese cultural values.

In late March, Bac Ninh became the cultural focal point of the country when the ceremony to receive the UNESCO certificate recognizing the Dong Ho folk painting craft as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent safeguarding was held; the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son - Kiet Bac Complex of Monuments and Scenic Spots was announced as a World Cultural Heritage site; and the "Returning to the Heritage Region of Bac Ninh - 2026" Festival was grandly organized, rich in cultural identity.

The highlight is the meticulously staged art program "The Quintessence of Heritage - Shining Brightly Through a Thousand Years." With the overarching theme of "the flow of heritage," the program takes the audience on a cultural journey through the Kinh Bac region, from its historical origins to its aspirations for integration.

In particular, the grand spectacle "Convergence of Heritage," featuring art troupes from various regions and showcasing representative heritages such as Hue Royal Court Music, Nghe Tinh Folk Songs, the Central Highlands Gong Culture, and Southern Vietnamese Traditional Music, created a vibrant symphony, affirming Bac Ninh's role in connecting and spreading the essence of Vietnamese culture.

Within the framework of the Festival, more than 30 cultural, sports, and tourism activities took place in many localities throughout the province, attracting a large number of people, domestic and international tourists to participate and experience, helping to bring heritage to life vividly in contemporary life. The success of the "Returning to the Heritage Region of Bac Ninh - 2026" Festival continues to extend the series of large-scale cultural events that Bac Ninh has organized recently.

The rich cultural heritage, vast heritage system, and unique cultural spaces are the foundation for the Kinh Bac region to become a meeting point for traditional art and cultural exchange, gradually affirming its position with increasingly professional and creative event organization. Bac Ninh also hosts many national-scale competitions and festivals such as: the National Mobile Propaganda Festival; exhibitions of visual propaganda posters promoting civilized lifestyles…

Through hosting national-level cultural and artistic festivals and competitions, Bac Ninh has been highly praised by Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong for its meticulous and professional preparation, which has contributed to the success of these events. This also affirms that the Kinh Bac region, rich in cultural identity, has strongly contributed to spreading traditional cultural and artistic values ​​in contemporary life.

From a land rich in tradition, Bac Ninh is emerging as a center for the convergence and dissemination of Vietnamese cultural values ​​in the era of integration. Successfully organized large-scale events not only affirm the locality's position and capabilities but also contribute to enriching the spiritual life and promoting the image of Bac Ninh's land and people to the world.

Following President Ho Chi Minh's teaching, "Culture must guide the nation," Bac Ninh has always considered culture as the spiritual foundation and an important endogenous resource for sustainable development.

Over the years, the province has allocated significant resources to invest in culture, focusing on upgrading facilities and infrastructure. As a result, the system of cultural and sports institutions in the province, including theaters, stadiums, cinemas, and cultural centers, is spacious and modern, effectively meeting the needs of cultural and artistic activities and enhancing the spiritual life of the people.

Major cultural and artistic events held successfully in Bac Ninh demonstrate the province's professional and well-organized capabilities. Notably, performances and events are consistently sold out, attracting thousands of viewers.

The awarding of the right to host the 25th National Film Festival in 2027 to Bac Ninh further affirms the confidence of central ministries and agencies in the locality's organizational capacity. This is also an opportunity for Bac Ninh to further promote the image of its culture, tourism, and people of Kinh Bac to friends both domestically and internationally.

Currently, the Miss Vietnamese Culture Global 2026 competition is taking place, with the final night scheduled to be held at the Kinh Bac Cultural Center Square in June. Holding the competition in Bac Ninh contributes to honoring and promoting cultural values, providing contestants with the opportunity to experience, learn about, and spread the unique values ​​of the Kinh Bac region.
