Ahead of Meta Connect this weekend, a first video has revealed Meta's new Ray-Ban smart glasses with a built-in display.

UploadVR discovered that earlier today, Meta posted a short video to YouTube revealing the “Meta Ray-Ban Display” smart glasses.

Continuing the partnership with EssilorLuxottica, the new glasses retain the Ray-Ban branding and styling, but with an upgraded design and of course a display.

The video, posted on Twitter/X, shows the glasses with a display on the right eye and a monochrome head-up display. The glasses are shown using Meta AI voice commands, providing turn-by-turn directions, replying to messages, and displaying real -world text translations.

The glasses were also shown paired with an sEMG bracelet, which Meta previously called the "Neuro" bracelet when combined with its Orion AR concept.

The glasses are significantly thicker, especially at the temples, than the current Meta Ray-Bans. It was previously reported that EssilorLuxottica had "balked" (or objected) to that design request.

Meta's new smart glasses were first spotted in a leak earlier this year, and are said to cost around $800. Previously, it was thought that Ray-Bans with screens wouldn't be released until 2026, but the timing of this clip suggests we could see them officially launch sooner than expected.

Along with Ray-Ban Display glasses, Meta also launched a new screen-less Oakley AI glasses model.

The smart glasses have double the battery life of the Ray-Ban Meta and are capable of shooting 3K video. The glasses are based on Oakley's HSTN (pronounced "how-stuhn") design, and are described as "Meta's first product for both athletes and fans."

The Oakley Meta HSTN glasses can last up to eight hours of regular use and up to 19 hours on standby. You can also charge them up to 50% in just 20 minutes. Plus, they come with a charging case that can provide up to 48 hours of battery life on the go.

The glasses also feature Meta AI, which lets you ask questions on the go, like "Hey Meta, how windy is it today?" or "Hey Meta, take a video." You can also ask Meta AI about what you're seeing and ask it to translate languages.
