Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School - formerly known as "Nguyen Khuyen Specialized Secondary School" was established on August 20, 1993 with the goal of discovering and nurturing excellent students and talented students at the secondary level, creating high-quality human resources to continue training, serving the construction and development of the city. On March 6, 2017, the City People's Committee issued a Decision to establish "Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School", a public school with the first two levels under the Department of Education and Training.

By 2024, Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School will have 51 classes (Middle School: 33 classes, High School: 18 classes) with a total of 2,289 students. The total number of staff, teachers and employees is 110 people; including 03 managers (03 masters); 93 teachers (38 masters, 63 university); 14 employees.

After 30 years of construction and development, Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School has gradually overcome difficulties and challenges, built a solid foundation in terms of facilities, teaching staff, innovated teaching and learning methods to fulfill the responsibility of "cultivating people", and achieved many achievements.

The school has always affirmed its position and role in the development of the city'seducation sector. Many typical and advanced collectives and individuals have been awarded Certificates of Merit by the Government, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the City People's Committee. In 2007, the school was honored to receive the Third Class Labor Medal from the President for its achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the city leaders, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh acknowledged and commended the achievements of the School over the past 30 years.

Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School celebrates its 30th anniversary, which is also the time when the city is focusing on implementing Resolution 136/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on organizing urban government and piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city.

“That means the city's education sector in general and Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in particular need to be well prepared to further improve the quality of education, meeting the increasingly high demands of the economy and social development,” emphasized Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh.

In the coming period, Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh requested Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School to promote the achieved results, continue to innovate, improve the quality of comprehensive education; focus on building a team of teachers to ensure both quantity and quality. With the school's characteristics of 2 levels, teachers not only impart knowledge but also accompany, stick with and guide students in the process of forming and perfecting their personalities.

The city will continue to pay attention and invest so that the Education Sector in general and teachers and students of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School in particular have favorable conditions to promote the positive energy of youth, be ready to carry out tasks, and meet new requirements.

Authorized by the Minister of Education and Training, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training Tran Nguyen Minh Thanh awarded Certificates of Merit to the collective of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School and 07 individuals.

“I believe that with the city’s investment and with all the responsibility, love of teachers and the efforts and striving of students, Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School will continue to reap many new successes and victories, continue to be confident on the next journey, and at the same time affirm the city’s right investment policy for the cause of education and training,” said Chairman of the City People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh.

Deputy Director of the City Department of Education and Training Mai Tan Linh awarded certificates of merit to the collectives of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School.

On this occasion, the collective of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary and High School and 07 individuals were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Education and Training. The City People's Committee awarded a flag recognizing the 30-year achievements of the School in building and developing. The Director of the Department of Education and Training awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and 23 individuals.
