Kylian Mbappe's future is once again in the spotlight as the Bild newspaper revealed that the French player has agreed to join Real Madrid.
Bild, citing its own sources, reports that Mbappe has made his choice, although it has not been officially announced.
Mbappe left PSG at the end of the season without activating the clause to extend his contract until 2025, as stipulated in the contract signed in May 2022.
Mbappe and Real Madrid have reached an agreement on a signing bonus (or "signing fee") worth 125 million Euros.
The agreement between the Spanish royal club and the PSG captain also mentions a contract term extending until 2029.
Recently, in an interview with GQ magazine, Mbappe admitted that he will one day leave PSG.
He said: "At some point I will have to leave PSG. I'm not afraid of change. I'm just thinking about continuing my career and following my own path."
The sticking point between the two sides right now is the salary, with Kylian demanding an income of 70 million Euros.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid refused to expand the salary cap beyond 35 million Euros. Instead, they opted for commercial agreements.
Mbappe's current income at PSG, including salary, bonuses, and commissions, is estimated at around 200 million Euros.
Fayza Lamari, Mbappe's mother and agent, was very demanding during the negotiations.
According to AS from Spain, Fayza Lamari is demanding a total salary over five years plus a signing bonus from Real Madrid exceeding 400 million Euros.
