The mark of the term
Located at the western gateway of Da Nang city, overcoming difficulties caused by natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic, during the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee and people of La Dee commune have made a special mark in socio-economic development, gradually transforming themselves strongly.
According to Mr. Bui The Anh, Chairman of the People's Committee of La Deee commune, during the past term, agriculture and forestry were identified as the key sectors of the locality, with a total annual cultivated area of 776.58 hectares and a food production of 1,077 tons per year.
In particular, models such as growing medicinal plants under the canopy of forests and large trees, and integrated garden-pond-livestock-forest models, have initially proven effective in creating sustainable livelihoods for the people.
As a result, the average annual poverty rate decreased significantly, by approximately 5.73% (in the former La Dêê commune) and 14.88% (in the former Đắc Tôi commune).

Trade and services in La Dêê commune are developing in their initial stages, with 19 business establishments and traditional products such as brocade, woven goods, baskets, and mats being gradually commercialized, aiming to build distinctive OCOP products.
In addition, the commune has many attractive ecological sites, especially the traditional culture of the Co Tu and Ta Rieng ethnic groups, which are being developed into unique tourism products.
Comprehensive development goals
At the recent First Congress of the La Dêê Commune Party Committee (2025-2030 term), the motto "Unity - Discipline - Innovation - Development" was reaffirmed as the overarching driving force.

In this context, the Party Committee identifies economic development as the central focus, Party building as the key element, culture as the spiritual foundation, and national defense and security as crucial and ongoing tasks.
During the 2020-2025 term, La Dêê commune organized 27 bilateral patrols, maintained 10 self-governing border protection teams in the villages, and organized twinning programs between border communities on both sides of the Vietnam-Laos border to strengthen friendly relations and cooperation.
According to Mr. Chau Van Ngo, Secretary of the Party Committee of La Dee commune, the overall goal of the locality, in addition to effectively exploiting potential and improving the lives of the people, is also linked to the task of development while maintaining national border sovereignty.
The focus is on accelerating economic restructuring, promoting agricultural development linked with ecotourism and trade in border areas.

At the same time, focus on building a multi-value agricultural model and establishing sustainable value chain linkages.
Based on the 20 key targets set, such as maintaining 600 hectares of cultivated land per year, developing 2-3 OCOP products achieving 3 stars or more, reducing the poverty rate by 3-5% annually, ensuring 100% of the population participates in health insurance, ensuring 100% of students are enrolled in school at the appropriate age, and the commune meeting national criteria for healthcare..., the locality expects to create a strategic breakthrough, contributing to comprehensive development.
"Furthermore, we believe that preserving and developing the traditional crafts and culture of the Co Tu people will create a unique identity, help open up avenues for tourism development, and contribute to increasing income for the people," Mr. Ngo said.
