Accordingly, the total demand for removing temporary and dilapidated houses in the province is 7,489 houses (6,212 newly built houses, 1,277 repaired houses). The total funding demand is 411,030 million VND. Of which: 6,212 newly built houses, equivalent to 372,720 million VND; 1,277 repaired houses, equivalent to 38,310 million VND. As of May 14, 2025, 6,384/7,489 houses have been implemented, reaching 85.25%, specifically: 3,249 houses have been completed; 3,135 houses are being implemented. In the 6 months of implementation, the total mobilized funding is 392,350 million VND. The total allocated budget (including advance funding) is VND 382,738 million, supporting 6,407 houses (5,450 newly built houses, 957 repaired houses). The total remaining budget is VND 18,680 million, equivalent to 430 houses.
It can be seen that the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses has received close attention and direction from the Central Government and local Party committees and authorities in the province; the participation of the entire socio -political system. The Provincial Steering Committee has promptly led and directed the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the province. The organization launched a 70-day campaign to strive to complete the program before June 25, 2025.

However, the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses also encountered some difficulties such as: some households have very difficult economic conditions, and have difficulty in receiving additional support because the support level of 60 million VND/household is not enough to build a house; difficulties in transporting materials...
Comrade Sung A Ho - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province launched and called on agencies, units, organizations and enterprises to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

At the Conference, Comrade Sung A Ho - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lai Chau province continued to launch and call on agencies, units, organizations, enterprises; cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, workers, people from all walks of life inside and outside Lai Chau province with a compassionate heart, to join hands and contribute to eliminating temporary houses and dilapidated houses for households with housing difficulties in the province, with the spirit of "those who have money contribute money, those who have merit contribute merit, those who have little contribute little, those who have much contribute much" "Whatever you have, help" to support poor households to stabilize their lives.

Speaking at the Conference, Comrade Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed his deep gratitude to organizations, businesses and individuals who have been accompanying Lai Chau province in the work of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses. He hoped that organizations, individuals and businesses would continue to support the locality both materially and spiritually in the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses. Lai Chau province is determined to "Completely eliminate remaining temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole province; support the construction of solid houses, ensuring safety for policy households, meritorious people, poor and near-poor households in the province", aiming at the goal of "leaving no one behind".
On this occasion, 28 businesses registered to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province with a total amount of nearly 4 billion VND.
