Accordingly, from September 9-10, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain, accompanied by strong winds, occurred in many areas of Lam Dong province.

In Dong Gia Nghia ward, landslides caused soil to flow over and bury a wooden house of about 25 square meters , and overflowed the foundations of other houses by about 3 meters; 5 durian trees, about 20 coffee trees in their third year of production, and some other crops were damaged.

In the wards of Lam Vien, Xuan Huong, and Lang Biang in Da Lat, heavy rains have affected and flooded some houses in residential areas. Local authorities are currently compiling detailed statistics.
Specifically , heavy rain caused flooding on Phan Dinh Phung street (Xuan Huong ward - Da Lat) with an average depth of 0.3-0.6m, and the Phan Dinh Phung stream area experienced localized flooding. On Le Van Tam street, some soil and rocks spilled onto the road, obstructing traffic.

In Nam Gia Nghia ward, prolonged heavy rain has caused a landslide in residential area 6, approximately 50 meters from the main road and about 2 kilometers from the Community College. The landslide occurred on land belonging to four households, affecting an area of approximately 1,000 square meters, with about 900 cubic meters of soil collapsing.
Currently, there is still a large area of land at high risk of further landslides if the rain continues. The extent of the damage is being assessed and determined by local authorities.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment stated that, following the natural disaster, local authorities directed the commune's Civil Defense Command, relevant departments and units, and village self-governing boards to proactively implement the "four on-the-spot" measures. Simultaneously, they quickly addressed the consequences of the disaster in the area, erected warning signs, and put up barriers and barricades in dangerous areas.

Authorities also strongly advise against negligence and complacency, urging close monitoring of disaster and weather warnings and forecasts to promptly inform and guide the public in proactively preventing and minimizing damage caused by adverse weather phenomena, especially land subsidence and landslides.
At the same time, the organization mobilized the people and local forces to clear bushes and unblock waterways to minimize localized flooding; organized the assessment and compilation of damage statistics to promptly provide or propose assistance for people affected by the damage, helping them quickly stabilize their lives…
In Dong Gia Nghia ward, the Ward Civil Defense Command has erected warning tape and placed warning signs in areas at risk of landslides. The local authorities have also instructed residents to stay indoors and have made plans to evacuate people to safe areas; they are coordinating and assisting in moving valuable belongings and items out of the landslide-prone area; and they have assigned several members of the Ward Military Command to be on duty nearby and report any incidents promptly.
In the coming period, the leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment request that all localities continue to maintain a 24/7 duty roster; proactively inform and warn local authorities and people in a timely manner to prevent and avoid potential damage.
Affected localities continue to review and report on the specific extent of damage in their areas, and provide support to people in overcoming the consequences of the natural disaster according to regulations.
Rainfall measured from 7:00 PM on September 9th to 4:00 PM on September 10th in several areas included: Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat: 92.8mm; Song Luy Commune: 86.4mm; Son Dien Commune: 81mm; Bac Gia Nghia Ward: 80.6mm; Hoa Bac Commune: 67.6mm; Tuy Duc Commune: 67.6mm… Forecasts indicate continued rain in these wards and communes in the coming hours. Accumulated rainfall in these wards and communes is expected to be between 30-50mm, with some areas exceeding 60mm.
