In mid-2025, Gaiwach Ha Tinh International Garment Co., Ltd. commenced operations in the Cong Khanh 1 Industrial Cluster (Nam Hong Linh Ward) in the export garment sector. The nature of its production line and high labor intensity presented significant challenges in approaching, promoting, and encouraging the establishment of a grassroots trade union and the development of union membership.

The grassroots trade union of Gaiwach Ha Tinh International Clothing Co., Ltd. was established in December 2025.
However, thanks to the active involvement of the Provincial Labor Union and the attention and support of the enterprise's leadership, in December 2025, the Trade Union of Gaiwach Ha Tinh International Clothing Co., Ltd. was established with 228 members.
After 5 months of operation, with the motto of putting the rights and interests of employees at the center, the company's trade union has gradually affirmed its role as a support for employees, a "common home" where union members can share and express their thoughts and aspirations.

By voluntarily joining the trade union, Ms. Ho Thi Tam (in the white shirt) feels more secure knowing that her rights are protected.
Ms. Ho Thi Tam, a worker at the company, shared: “Every month, the union organizes birthday celebrations for employees, gives gifts on holidays and Tet (Lunar New Year), and implements activities such as the ‘Gaiwach Moments’ photo contest and internal sports competitions… In particular, all employee suggestions are received by the union and promptly reported to the company leadership to address shortcomings in the work process.”
The company's trade union has had a significant positive impact. During this year's Workers' Month, 236 workers voluntarily submitted applications to join the union, bringing the total number of union members to 464.

The Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Gaiwach Ha Tinh International Clothing Co., Ltd. organized a birthday celebration for its workers.
Not only at Gaiwach International Clothing Co., Ltd. in Ha Tinh, but throughout the province, the work of developing union membership and establishing grassroots trade unions in enterprises has always been a priority for trade unions at all levels. The Provincial Federation of Labor has established a steering committee and a working group to develop union membership and establish grassroots trade unions for the period 2025-2030; and assigned dedicated staff to work alongside grassroots trade unions in enterprises to maximize their effectiveness.
Since the beginning of the year, the province has established 7 new grassroots trade unions, admitting over 943 new members; bringing the total number of grassroots trade unions to 451 with more than 37,800 members. This is also an important foundation for trade unions to identify, nurture, and recommend outstanding members for the Party to consider for admission. From 2025 to the present, grassroots trade unions throughout the province have recommended nearly 600 members to participate in Party awareness training, of which nearly 300 members have been admitted.

Union members and workers of Song La Xanh Packaging Joint Stock Company receive attention regarding their living conditions and employment.
As one of the shining examples in building trade union and Party organizations within enterprises, since its establishment (in 2018), the Trade Union of Song La Xanh Packaging Joint Stock Company has operated quite effectively, and for many years has been honored as an outstanding unit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Provincial Confederation of Labor. The company's Party branch has effectively played its role as a political nucleus, leading the implementation of production and business tasks while caring for the lives of employees.
Mr. Nguyen Van Son, Party Secretary and Chairman of the company's Trade Union, stated: "The trade union is a core force in identifying and nurturing outstanding union members to recommend to the Party for consideration and admission. Since the beginning of the year, the trade union has recommended 6 outstanding union members for training and Party membership. In addition, the trade union proactively advises the Party Committee and enterprise leaders on organizing emulation movements, improving labor productivity, and contributing to the completion of production and business tasks."

The Party cell of Song La Xanh Packaging Joint Stock Company effectively plays its role as the political nucleus, leading the implementation of professional tasks.
Despite the achievements, the work of developing union membership and building trade union and Party organizations in enterprises still faces many difficulties. Ha Tinh currently has many investment projects that have come into operation, creating significant opportunities for developing union membership and establishing grassroots trade unions. However, most enterprises implementing these projects are direct production enterprises, and the time allocated for propaganda and mobilization is limited; the understanding of trade union organizations among some employers and employees is still incomplete.
In some localities, small-scale, family-owned businesses face many obstacles in establishing grassroots trade unions and recruiting members. Furthermore, after the merger of administrative units, there is a shortage of full-time trade union officials; the quality of grassroots trade union officials in businesses is not yet strong, which has affected organizational development.

Mr. Nguyen The Hoan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, stated: “The Ha Tinh Labor Union has identified the development of union membership and the establishment of grassroots trade unions as one of the key tasks for the 2025-2030 term. In the coming time, the Provincial Labor Union will strengthen connections with businesses and promote activities focused on the grassroots level to consolidate the trust of workers. At the same time, we will proactively coordinate with local Party committees and authorities where businesses operate to develop union members and Party members within businesses, contributing to building a strong trade union organization in terms of both quality and quantity.”
