The series of events taking place on May 21st, within the framework of international cultural exchange activities organized by the Hanoi People's Committee in coordination with the Moscow authorities (Russian Federation), aims to strengthen the good traditional friendship, nurtured over many generations; and at the same time open up many new opportunities for cooperation in the fields of culture, education , tourism and people-to-people exchanges between Vietnam and the Russian Federation.
The series of events includes the exhibition “Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam's first national school (1076 - 2026)” and the special art program “ Hanoi - The Sound of a Thousand Years”.
The exhibition "Quoc Tu Giam - Vietnam's First National School (1076 - 2026)" aims to recreate the development journey of Vietnamese national education, the cultural space rich in historical and humanistic values of Hanoi, and to honor the enduring values that make up the cultural essence of Thang Long - Hanoi. This event also serves as a significant milestone in celebrating the 950th anniversary of the founding of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.

The exhibition also presents vivid images of Vietnam and its people today through traditional handicrafts, especially the replica of the Dong Son bronze drum; viewers in Moscow also have the opportunity to directly experience the unique cultural activities of the capital city right in the exhibition space.
The special art program "Hanoi - Sounds of a Thousand Years" features unique and elaborately staged performances by People's Artists, Meritorious Artists, and prominent artists of Hanoi, showcasing distinctive Vietnamese art forms such as Ca Tru - an intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, Hanoi Xam singing, Cheo opera, Chau Van singing, along with the unique timbres of traditional Vietnamese musical instruments (dan bau, bamboo flute, dan nguyet), and emotionally rich contemporary music performances reflecting the dynamic and creative spirit of Hanoi.
In addition, the program features a profound cultural exchange with famous Russian songs such as "Moscow Evenings," "Harbor Evenings," and "The Loyalty of the Swan," expressing respect for Russian culture and the close bond between the two nations.
Through this series of events, Hanoi hopes to strongly spread the cultural imprint of Thang Long - Hanoi, ancient and profound yet dynamic and creative, to friends in Russia and the international community. The event is expected to further build a solid foundation, leading to the increasingly prosperous development of the strategic relationship between the two capitals and two countries.
