Spreading the cultural values ​​of ethnic groups.

Established and operational since 2010, the Literature and Arts Branch of Ethnic Groups, under the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Bac Lieu province (formerly), has grown from an initial 7 members to 34 members today (33 Khmer ethnic members, 1 Chinese ethnic member), working in various fields such as: creative writing, research, performance, etc.

The branch has 20 members who are also members of the Vietnam Association of Arts and Culture of Ethnic Minorities. Throughout its activities, the branch has always strived to gather and promote the creativity of ethnic minority artists, contributing to enriching the cultural and artistic life of the province.

Focusing on political and ideological work, during the 2020-2025 term, the Branch Association extensively implemented the "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh." In addition, the Branch Association sent many members to participate in creative writing trips within the province and regional writing camps... Many works by members have been published in central and local newspapers and magazines, and notably, one member was honored to be invited to read poetry at Vietnam Poetry Day 2024 in Hanoi .

Researcher Chau Phat, Vice Chairman of the Association of Culture and Arts of Ethnic Minorities, affirmed: "The Association contributes to spreading the distinctive cultural values ​​of the province's ethnic groups, integrating them into the mainstream of national culture and arts."

Members of the Association of Arts and Culture of Ethnic Minorities attended a workshop organized by the Association of Arts and Culture of Ethnic Minorities of Vietnam in An Giang in 2023.

Besides the positive results, the branch's activities face difficulties in publishing works in ethnic languages; many members are busy with work and family responsibilities, limiting the time they can invest in in-depth creative writing.

Entering a period of renewal, the Branch Association aims to strengthen its organization, striving to develop into an Association of Literature and Arts of Ethnic Minorities, focusing on promoting the creation of works with high ideological and artistic value; organizing writing competitions (such as Khmer poetry competitions), conducting field trips for creative writing; striving to publish literary and artistic works in ethnic languages; and paying attention to developing membership, especially central members, in order to strengthen long-term resources.
