Spreading love to the community

Through quiet but meaningful actions, many organizations and individuals in the province have been spreading love in their own way, not only sharing material things but also sowing seeds of faith, building hope, and contributing to community cohesion.

Established in February 2017, the H'Mông Student Club of Buon Ma Thuot currently has over 60 members, all H'Mông students studying in the province. Each year, the club organizes numerous volunteer activities aimed at helping children and people in remote areas. The equipment for each trip includes not only school bags, bicycles, and small gifts, but also genuine affection, responsibility, and encouragement for those facing hardship.

Ms. Giang Thi Gau, the club's chairperson, shared: "Most of the club members were born in mountainous areas and have experienced hardship, so they understand better than anyone the necessity of knowledge for the future. Their return to help the local people not only brings material support but also motivates the children in the villages to continue their education."

Receiving gifts from the club members, the children in the village couldn't hide their joy. Some hugged their new schoolbags tightly like treasures, while others excitedly showed off their comic books to each other. Giang Thi Tuyet Mai (8 years old, Ea Trang commune, M'Drắk district) expressed: "I'm very happy to receive a new schoolbag and I will try my best to study hard so that I can become a doctor someday." In the eyes of that little girl, the club members saw a glimpse of themselves in the past – children growing up in the mountains, cherishing the dream of learning to read and write. And from that, they understood even more that sometimes spreading love isn't about grand gestures, but simply about quietly sowing seeds of hope.

In Ea Sar commune (Ea Kar district), since the end of 2022, the "Green House" model implemented by the Women's Union has become a place of compassion and solidarity. Members regularly collect empty cans, plastic bottles, scrap paper, etc., and bring them to collection points to sell and raise funds. From these funds, they carry out practical support activities for disadvantaged individuals, such as giving Tet gifts, providing essential goods, supporting the livelihoods of single mothers, helping orphans, and assisting those in urgent need. This model not only contributes to supporting vulnerable people but also fosters community spirit and spreads the spirit of sharing within the community.

Initially, the "Green House" model was only implemented in a few locations in the commune. However, seeing the meaningful work, the transparency of the collected funds, and the fact that the money was distributed to those in need, many local households actively participated, creating a vibrant movement. Currently, there are 6 "Green Houses" operating effectively in various villages and hamlets, becoming familiar meeting points for a spirit of responsibility and compassion.

From the "Green House" fund, Mrs. Le Thi Hanh (64 years old, Hamlet 8, Ea Sar Commune) regularly receives 300,000 VND each month to care for her two orphaned grandchildren. This support deeply moves her, warms her heart, and gives her more motivation to overcome difficulties with her grandchildren. "The women in the association are all very understanding and empathetic to my family's situation. Thanks to their care, I have more strength to try harder each day and live more positively. I only hope I have enough health, perseverance, and patience to raise my grandchildren to be good people," Mrs. Hanh confided.
