Silent dedication
The fact that doctors Pham Ngoc Thang, Department of Examination and Emergency (Da Nang Hospital); Dinh Duy Tuan Dung, Deputy Head of the Department of Examination, Emergency, Intensive Care and Toxicology (Tay Giang Regional Medical Center); Tran An Duy, Department of Intensive Care and Toxicology (Northern Quang Nam Regional General Hospital); Pham Thi Hang, Department of Examination and Emergency (Quang Nam Dermatology Hospital); Than Trong Vu, Head of Thoracic Surgery Department (Da Nang Hospital)... always put patients first, are not afraid of difficulties or hardships, are close to and provide meticulous care to each patient, and strive to provide the most appropriate treatment plan is no longer unfamiliar to their colleagues.
Working in the Outpatient and Emergency Department, the "front line" of Da Nang Hospital, Dr. Pham Ngoc Thang deeply understands the suffering of patients and the anxieties of their families. Therefore, in addition to continuously improving his skills, Dr. Thang always upholds medical ethics, principles, and empathy in his interactions with patients and their relatives.
Dr. Thang and his colleagues have successfully treated many critically ill patients, saving their lives from the brink of death, and are especially ready to respond when called upon in emergency situations such as mass casualty accidents, storms, and floods.
With all their hearts, doctors are always ready to be present regardless of the time, saving the lives of many critically ill patients and rejoicing when someone recovers from a critical condition or is discharged from the hospital in good health. Beyond their professional duties, doctors also empathize with the suffering of patients, carefully understanding each individual's circumstances and readily providing material and emotional support, bringing joy, hope, and optimism back into their lives.
Over the past period, Dr. Le Thi Thuy Duong, from the Pediatric Emergency, Intensive Care and Toxicology Department (Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital), has directly participated in emergency care, resuscitation, and specialized treatment with a high sense of responsibility, dedication, and caution.
Dr. Duong consistently maintains a professional, caring, and deeply empathetic attitude towards the suffering of patients and their families; proactively collaborates with colleagues and social organizations to support underprivileged pediatric patients, contributing to spreading a spirit of compassion within the hospital environment. Furthermore, Dr. Duong always proactively connects with leading experts and participates in multi-faceted consultations to find the most optimal treatment options for critically ill and complex pediatric patients.
According to the leadership of Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Dr. Duong is a core member of the hospital's ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) deployment team. She is readily available outside of regular working hours and assigned shifts to assist in managing particularly critical cases, as well as proactively participating in inter-hospital consultations and actively exchanging expertise with specialists to ensure optimal and safe treatment decisions for patients. Beyond her professional work, Dr. Duong actively participates in charitable activities, blood donation, and support for underprivileged children and those in difficult circumstances.
Dedicated to the patient
In addition to providing enthusiastic and attentive care to patients, many doctors and nurses also share their blood with critically ill patients; at the same time, they personally solicit meal vouchers and charitable meals for patients and their families, or call for donations from philanthropists and support for poor patients during their hospital stay, helping to cover part of the treatment costs…

Like other doctors and medical staff, Dr. Vu Duy An, from the General Internal Medicine Department ( Quang Nam Regional General Hospital), always strives to perform his professional duties well, directly participating in the examination, treatment, and care of patients with a high sense of responsibility, dedication, and commitment to the health of the people.
In addition, Dr. An actively participates in charitable medical examinations and screenings in remote areas, contributing to improving access to healthcare services for the community, especially for those facing many difficulties. These contributions not only bring professional effectiveness but also create a positive impact on the spirit of community service within the medical profession.
With 29 years of service in the healthcare industry, Head Midwife Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital), has always dedicated herself wholeheartedly to the cause of public health care. Midwife Tuyet is always loving, approachable, and enthusiastic in supporting the emotional well-being of patients and their families. In particular, she consistently helps cancer patients in difficult circumstances, both materially and emotionally; and seeks funding sources, collaborating with the Social Work Department to provide assistance to poor patients in need.
The city's healthcare sector also has many shining examples of people working silently behind the hospital bed… A prime example is Head Nurse Truong Thi Cam Oanh, of the Female Acute Ward (Da Nang Psychiatric Hospital).
For the past 17 years, regardless of her position, Nurse Oanh has consistently demonstrated herself to be an exemplary and dedicated healthcare professional. She has always overcome difficulties and hardships to serve inpatients, a job that demands compassion, dedication, and a deep love for the sick.
"Caring for mental patients is difficult, but caring for female mental patients is even more challenging. Many patients are unaware of their actions, so we have to handle everything from administering medication to reminding them about personal hygiene, bathing, changing clothes, and even being their friend to share their subconscious thoughts and feelings," nurse Oanh shared.
The image of dedicated and responsible doctors, nurses, orderlies, and midwives has earned the trust and affection of patients, their families, and colleagues; contributing to the spread of the positive values of the healthcare sector in the community. These beautiful flowers of Da Nang's healthcare sector, despite the hardships and dangers they face, have overcome everything with boundless love for patients and a pure heart, working tirelessly day and night to revive the lives of countless people…
