Five inter-agency inspection teams were established to check food safety in 10 provinces.

The Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Safety organized five inter-ministerial inspection teams to conduct inspections in 10 provinces and cities nationwide from April 15th to May 15th.

According to information from the Food Safety Department ( Ministry of Health ) on April 14th, the 2025 Food Safety Action Month (from April 15th to May 15th) aims to raise awareness and responsibility among all levels, sectors, and the public in ensuring food safety.

The Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Safety has issued Plan No. 337/KH-BCĐTƯATT to implement the 2025 Food Safety Action Month with the theme "Ensuring food safety, with a focus on food safety in collective kitchens, catering services and street food," lasting from April 15 to May 15.

Based on the theme of the 2025 Food Safety Action Month, the Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Safety assigned the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Environment, and Industry and Trade to coordinate with relevant ministries and agencies from April 15th to May 15th to organize 5 inter-ministerial inspection teams to conduct inspections in 10 provinces and cities : Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Phuoc, Quang Binh, Quang Tri , Hanoi, Bac Giang, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dien Bien, and Lai Chau.

In addition to the five central inter-ministerial teams, the Ministries of Health, Agriculture and Environment, and Industry and Trade have assigned their functional units to conduct surprise inspections in provinces and cities to effectively implement the Action Month.

At the local level, based on the Central Government's Plan for the Implementation of the Food Safety Action Month in 2025, the inter-agency steering committee on food safety of provinces and cities shall advise on the development of inspection plans in their respective areas (including city/town/district/county and commune/ward levels) for approval by the provincial/city People's Committee and organize their implementation; ensuring the completion of the inspection plan before May 15, 2025.

To enhance the effectiveness of communication and strengthen the role of the Ministry of Health - the permanent agency of the Central Inter-Ministerial Steering Committee on Food Safety - in implementing food safety activities for public health during the Food Safety Action Month, the Ministry of Health issued 10 food safety messages for the 2025 Food Safety Action Month.

The purpose of the 2025 Food Safety Action Month is to raise awareness and responsibility among all levels of government, sectors, and the public in ensuring food safety. Simultaneously, this event aims to promote law enforcement, honor safe food chains, and promptly warn establishments that violate regulations.
