Prepare documentation for connecting 14 roads in Ai Tu town to National Highway 1.

According to information from the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province, the locality has directed specialized agencies to urgently coordinate with relevant units to complete the procedures and documents for connecting branch roads inside and outside Ai Tu town with National Highway 1.

Regarding the connection points of branch roads to National Highway 1 in Ai Tu town, on September 18th, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district submitted a report to the People's Committee of Quang Tri province. According to the report, there are currently 27 connection points to National Highway 1 in the district, including 14 within Ai Tu town and 13 outside the town. However, these connection points are not included in the planning for the use of traffic safety corridors and connecting roads to National Highway 1 through the province.

In order to facilitate local management and use of traffic safety corridors, and to provide a basis for investment in the construction and upgrading of the town's inner-city road system and to beautify the urban landscape according to the plan, and to maximize the effectiveness of the main urban traffic arteries, Trieu Phong district requests agreement on the planning to connect 14 inner-city roads with National Highway 1.

Regarding the 13 connection points outside the town of Ai Tu, Trieu Phong district proposes planning the connection of branch roads to National Highway 1, especially the two connection points with district roads DH.48 and DH.49, to serve as a basis for investment, construction, and upgrading to meet the needs of transportation, traffic safety, and socio-economic development of the locality.

Based on the above proposal, the Department of Transport has issued a document guiding the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district to prepare the necessary documents for connecting branch roads to National Highway 1 according to regulations. Regarding this issue, on July 18th and 29th, Quang Tri newspaper published articles and video clips reflecting on the question: "When will the 14 roads in Ai Tu town be connected to National Highway 1?".

Accordingly, from 2018 to the present, the People's Committee of Trieu Phong district and the People's Committee of Quang Tri province have repeatedly proposed to the Ministry of Transport to connect 14 roads in Ai Tu town with National Highway 1 to create convenient and smooth traffic to serve socio-economic development and expand urban space. However, the issue remains unresolved.
