Notice of temporary suspension of traffic across Ong Muoi Tam Bridge on Provincial Road 831.

The construction contract for Chòi Mòi Bridge and Ông Mười Tâm Bridge, part of the remaining 6 bridges on Provincial Road 831 (the Vĩnh Bình – Long Khốt border gate section and the Vĩnh Hưng – Tân Hưng to Tân Phước section), is undertaken by An Đại Lộc Construction Joint Stock Company. Construction commenced on December 10, 2024, and is scheduled for completion by March 5, 2026.

Currently, An Dai Loc Construction Joint Stock Company has completed the construction of the temporary Ong Muoi Tam bridge with a load capacity of 8 tons for vehicles weighing less than 8 tons and for local residents to use while the new Ong Muoi Tam bridge is under construction.

At 3:10 AM on December 11, 2025, the middle span of the temporary Ong Muoi Tam bridge collapsed due to a crane (license plate 63LA-0162) with a load capacity of 38 tons belonging to Thuan Thanh Phong Construction and Transportation Co., Ltd. (Hamlet 1, Tam Hiep, Chau Thanh, former Tien Giang province ) crossing the bridge.

To ensure traffic safety during the repair of the collapsed Ong Muoi Tam temporary bridge, the Department of Construction of Tay Ninh province announces: All vehicles, including pedestrians, are temporarily prohibited from crossing the existing Ong Muoi Tam temporary bridge at kilometer marker 23+500, Provincial Road 831, in Vinh Hung commune.

Traffic will be temporarily suspended starting at 7:00 AM on December 11, 2025, until the repair work on the collapsed temporary bridge is completed.

During the temporary closure of the bridge for repairs, vehicles and pedestrians needing to cross can use the following routes:

For non-motorized vehicles and two-wheeled vehicles, the route is from Vinh Hung commune → Provincial Road 831 → across the existing Mang Da Canal bridge → West bank road of Mang Da Canal → across the existing Mang Da Canal bridge → Provincial Road 831 → Tan Hung commune and vice versa.

For vehicles with a load capacity of less than 8 tons, the route is from the road along Canal 28 → road along Canal 504 (Vinh Binh commune) → Canal 504 bridge → Provincial Road 831 → Tan Hung commune and vice versa.

For vehicles with a load capacity exceeding 8 tons, the route is from Vinh Hung commune → Provincial Road 831 → National Highway 62 → Provincial Road 819 (the road along the old Canal 79) → Tan Hung commune and vice versa.

The Department of Construction requires An Dai Loc Construction Joint Stock Company to install all necessary traffic signs, directional signs, barriers, traffic lights, lighting, etc., in accordance with regulations. Vehicles participating in traffic must comply with the regulations of road traffic signs and directional signs placed along the route.
