The Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Nghe An Province donated 100 million VND to repair houses of gratitude and upgrade the martyrs' memorial.

The Nghe An Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs recently held a ceremony to present funds for repairing houses of gratitude and upgrading the martyrs' memorial. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Ho Duc Thanh - Chairman of the Association; and representatives from the leadership of Truong Vinh ward and Thanh Binh Tho commune.

On this occasion, the Nghe An Provincial Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, in coordination with Thanh Vinh ward, presented 30 million VND donated by the Central Vietnam Construction Materials Joint Stock Company to support the repair of a house of gratitude for Mrs. Duong Thi Minh - the wife of martyr Nguyen Van Thong in Block 18, Thanh Vinh ward.

This is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the principle of "drinking water, remembering the source"; showing care and concern for, and improving the material and spiritual lives of, the families of martyrs and those who have contributed to the revolution, helping the families of martyrs have sturdy houses, reducing difficulties, and stabilizing their lives.

On this occasion, the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Nghe An province also presented 70 million VND to the local government of Thanh Binh Tho commune to upgrade the commune's martyrs' memorial.

Mr. Ho Duc Thanh, Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs in Nghe An Province, shared: "Paying attention to upgrading and renovating martyrs' cemeteries is not only a responsibility and duty but also an expression of gratitude for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs who fell so that we could live in freedom and peace today."
