Over the past period, the Party Committee and People's Committee of Hau My commune have consistently identified the care for families of policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution as an important political task, carried out regularly and continuously.

Provincial and local leaders visited and presented gifts to families entitled to preferential policies in Hau My commune.

Currently, Hau My commune manages many beneficiaries of preferential policies, including: war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, and those who participated in the resistance war and were exposed to chemical toxins... Preferential policies and benefits are fully implemented, targeting the correct beneficiaries and adhering to regulations. The work of reviewing and updating records of beneficiaries is also emphasized, helping to ensure the legitimate rights of these families.

Every year, during holidays and especially on the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27th), the local authorities organize visits and present gifts to families of policy beneficiaries in a thoughtful and respectful manner. Besides gifts from the central and provincial governments, Hau My commune actively mobilizes individuals, businesses, and philanthropists to contribute, demonstrating deep gratitude for the sacrifices and contributions of previous generations.

In addition to providing material support, Hau My commune also pays special attention to the spiritual well-being of families receiving preferential treatment through traditional gatherings and exchanges, and visits during illness or hardship. These activities not only serve as encouragement but also contribute to strengthening the bond between the local government and the people.

For disadvantaged families under government social welfare programs who have housing difficulties, the commune has proactively coordinated with relevant departments and socio-political organizations to effectively implement the "Houses of Compassion" construction and repair program.

Many spacious houses have been handed over, helping households settle down, stabilize their lives, and work and produce with peace of mind.

Sharing his emotions, Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh, representing a family receiving government assistance in the commune, said: "My family was affected by typhoon number 3, which blew off the roof of our house."

Fortunately, we received timely support from the local authorities, ranging from visits and gifts to assistance in repairing our roof. These acts of kindness are a great source of encouragement for me to continue working and stabilizing my life.”

Pham Hung Thai, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Hau My commune, affirmed: "In recent times, the work of caring for policy beneficiary families and people with meritorious services has been implemented increasingly effectively; payments are made in accordance with regulations, especially cashless payments."

Implementing the "Gratitude and Repayment" policy, the locality has directed the construction and repair of houses for needy families, provided health insurance cards, supported family economic development, and helped policy beneficiary families overcome difficulties and improve their lives.

To date, most families receiving preferential treatment and those who have rendered meritorious services to the nation have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average in the commune.

In the coming time, the commune will continue to mobilize social resources to better implement the work of showing gratitude and appreciation, contributing to helping policy beneficiary families have a more stable and prosperous life.”

With consistent attention and practical actions, the work of caring for families entitled to preferential policies in Hau My commune is becoming increasingly in-depth, creating a positive ripple effect in the community.

Through this, Hau My commune contributes to preserving and promoting patriotic traditions, fostering a spirit of gratitude in the younger generation, and building a homeland that is increasingly developing sustainably.
