4-seat car caught fire on National Highway 1 through Tay Ninh province

At noon on December 9, a small car traveling on National Highway 1, passing through Cau Voi intersection (Tay Ninh province), suddenly caught fire at the front of the car. The driver and the passenger were able to escape safely.

At around 11:30 a.m. the same day, a tourist car with license plate 29A-933.80 was being driven by a driver on the lane from Ho Chi Minh City to the West. When the car had just passed the traffic light on National Highway 1, passing through Hamlet 5, Thu Thua Commune (Tay Ninh Province), the driver discovered that the engine compartment suddenly caught fire.

The driver immediately brought the car to a stop, allowing both occupants to quickly get out.

Just seconds later, a column of black smoke billowed up, accompanied by a strong fire breaking out from the front of the car. At the time of the incident, the weather was hot and sunny, causing the fire to spread quickly and engulf the entire car.

Discovering the fire, nearby gas station employees and some drivers quickly brought CO₂ fire extinguishers to help put out the fire.

After a few minutes of trying to control the fire, it was extinguished, however the car was almost completely burned.

The cause of the fire is being verified and clarified by the authorities./.
