(NADS) - The Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival for the Year of the Dragon officially opened on February 7th, organized by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee on Le Loi Street, District 1. This is the 14th time the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival has been held during Tet (Lunar New Year).

The main entrance gate at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival for the Year of the Dragon 2024 was grandly designed, with the Ly Dynasty dragon as the highlight.

This area displays famous newspapers and representative articles.

The Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival for the Year of the Dragon promises to offer the city's residents more than 65,000 books. Notably, a prominent space will be dedicated to showcasing unique works, documents, and images to the community. Of particular interest is the presentation of works by President Ho Chi Minh written in 1954 and 1964; works by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; and works commemorating the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army. This aims to honor and preserve the memory of important events in Vietnam's history and the history of its military.

This year's Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival for the Year of the Dragon attracted the participation of more than 20 large and reputable publishers such as Phuong Nam Book, FAHASA, Nha Nam, Kim Dong, and many others. The participation of these publishers brought greater diversity and richness to the event, while also giving people the opportunity to experience and purchase works from trustworthy publishers.

The book display areas at the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival for the Year of the Dragon have been beautifully and meticulously designed to create the best experience for visitors. These areas are arranged creatively and logically, aiming to create an attractive and interesting space.

The Tet Book Giveaway program, with the message "Open a new page, celebrate the new year," is one of the unique highlights of the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival for the Year of the Dragon 2024. This is the first time this activity has been organized, with over 16,000 books ready to be given to visitors during the New Year. This program also marks the beginning of the official Tet Book Giveaway event, which will take place on February 10th (the first day of Tet) at this year's Ho Chi Minh City Book Street Festival.
