Launching ceremony of the book National Assembly in the process of innovation by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

On the afternoon of July 16, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Central Propaganda Department and the National Political Publishing House Truth jointly organized the launching ceremony of the book "The National Assembly in the process of innovation to meet the requirements of building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.

The ceremony was chaired by comrades: Tran Thanh Man , Politburo member, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Delegation, Chairman of the National Assembly; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Vu Trong Lam, Director, Editor-in-Chief of the National Political Publishing House Truth.

Attending the ceremony were leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; leaders of departments, ministries, branches, organizations, and central agencies; experts and scientists; full-time National Assembly deputies working at the central level, representatives of a number of National Assembly delegations, representatives of the Former National Assembly Deputies Club; members of the Steering Committee and the book's editorial team.

The book "The National Assembly in the process of innovation to meet the requirements of building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam" by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong was edited and published by the Party Delegation of the National Assembly in coordination with the National Political Publishing House Truth and relevant agencies.

The book selects 95 articles, speeches and interviews of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, demonstrating his profound strategic vision and thinking on building and perfecting the Vietnamese socialist rule-of-law state of the people, by the people, for the people; at the same time, reflecting his close attention and concern for innovating the organization and operation of the National Assembly to meet the requirements of the new situation.

The book consists of three parts.

Part 1: Building and perfecting the Socialist Rule of Law State of Vietnam, including 15 articles, speeches, and interviews with General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam; building and perfecting the Socialist Rule of Law State of Vietnam; the relationship between Party leadership, State management, and People's mastery; innovating the organization and operation of a number of institutions in the Rule of Law State such as the Government, People's Court, People's Procuracy, State Audit, local authorities, etc.

Part two: Innovation in the organization and operation of the National Assembly, including 80 articles, speeches, interviews, letters... by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on the path of innovation and development of the Vietnamese National Assembly, especially during the time he was Chairman of the National Assembly, directly directing the research, amendment and promulgation of the 2013 Constitution - an extremely important work for the development of our country in the recent period; on new developments in parliamentary diplomacy; innovation and improvement of the quality of activities of National Assembly deputies and the National Assembly's support apparatus.

Part three: The trust, support, consensus and affection of cadres, people, international friends towards comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, selecting 57 typical opinions of cadres, party members, dignitaries, intellectuals, National Assembly deputies, voters nationwide and international friends, expressing perspectives, thoughts and feelings towards the leadership and direction of comrade Nguyen Phu Trong.

These articles express the respect, affection, consensus and support of the People for Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong; at the same time, trust and expectation in the cause of national renewal, in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law State of Vietnam, in which the National Assembly, as the highest state power body, the highest representative body representing the will and aspirations of the Vietnamese People.

At the ceremony, Party Central Committee member, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Head of the book's editorial team Nguyen Khac Dinh affirmed that the book "The National Assembly in the process of innovation to meet the requirements of building and perfecting the socialist rule-of-law state of Vietnam" is the crystallization of a mindset, strategic vision and responsibility, dedication with the heart of a true communist, for the country and for the people of the leader of our Party.

Each article, speech, and interview in the book by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong affirms his steadfastness, firmness, and absolute loyalty to the Party's revolutionary cause and to the task of building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland in the new era.

That is reflected in the following important values ​​and meanings: Firstly , the book has summarized the achievements in developing the theory of socialism and the path to socialism; supplementing and developing the theory of the rule of law state and the practice of the process of building a socialist rule of law state of Vietnam of the people, by the people, for the people led by the Communist Party of Vietnam.

Second , the book contains profound theoretical and practical values ​​for continuing to innovate the organization and operation of the National Assembly in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam in the current period.
