This SUV has been upgraded by Miami Armored to withstand 7.62mm rifle rounds, including those used in AK-47s. Furthermore, it can withstand the impact of two grenades thanks to its 360-degree body protection system.

To increase bulletproofing, Miami Armored added bulletproof glass to the entire vehicle interior and reinforced the fuel tank, engine compartment, and battery pack with additional armor plates.

According to the upgrade team, protecting these critical components is necessary to ensure the vehicle can still operate even if attacked.
Additionally, this Lexus LX 700h is equipped with a reinforced rear bulkhead, stiffer door hinges, and run-flat tires that allow it to continue moving after being punctured. The armor plates are also designed with overlapping seams to minimize gaps that could allow bullets to penetrate the passenger compartment.

Customers can also opt for additional special features such as night vision cameras, a horn and loudspeaker system, front/rear flashing LED lights, reinforced bumpers, an oxygen filtration system, radiator protection, and a roof-mounted emergency exit.

Despite the significant addition of protective armor, Miami Armored states that it has not interfered with the original Lexus powertrain. The vehicle still uses a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 hybrid engine, a 10-speed automatic transmission, and an electric motor positioned between the engine and transmission.

This system delivers a total output of 457 horsepower and a maximum torque of 790 Nm. The electric motor is powered by a 288V hybrid battery and a 12V battery located under the luggage compartment. Both are protected in a waterproof tray with sensors, allowing the vehicle to ford water up to 700 mm deep.

According to the upgrade team, the added weight from the armor plating does not significantly affect the vehicle's performance – a factor considered particularly important for high-end customers who prioritize safety while still maintaining a powerful driving experience.
In Southeast Asia, the Lexus LX 700h has been launched in the Indonesian market with two versions. The first is the standard 7-seater version priced at 3.392 billion rupiah (approximately 5.1 billion VND), while the VIP version with a 4-seater configuration is offered at 3.928 billion rupiah (approximately 6 billion VND).
