APPEAL OF THE STANDING COMMITTEE OF THE RED CROSS OF VINH LONG PROVINCE TO MOBILE SUPPORT FOR THE CUBA PEOPLE

On August 19, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Red Cross Society issued an appeal to mobilize support for the Cuban people.

Pursuant to Appeal No. 217/LKG-TUHCTD dated August 13, 2025 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society on mobilizing support for the Cuban people,

Pursuant to Notice No. 91-TB/VPTU, dated August 15, 2025 of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee Office, notifying the opinion of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee. In which, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee agreed to allow the Provincial Red Cross Society to implement the Program to mobilize support for the Cuban people on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba.

2025 is the "Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Year", commemorating the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (1960-2025) - a special, loyal and steadfast relationship of friendship and solidarity.

Currently, the Cuban people, especially children, the elderly and vulnerable groups, are facing many difficulties due to the prolonged impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, natural disasters, etc.

Promoting the tradition of "Mutual Love and Support", the noble spirit of international humanitarianism, actively responding to the Call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society and the unity of

The Standing Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee and the Vinh Long Provincial Red Cross Society call on: Red Cross officials, members, volunteers; teachers, students in schools; officials, civil servants, armed forces, organizations, individuals and people in the province in the spirit of volunteerism, to join hands, actively respond and support the Cuban people.
